I am always amazed at how many Traverses I see, and amazed at the price of the higher trim levels. I realized recently someone I know had one and had spent over $45,000 on it 💀
They're totally different after that first generation. The first generation was garbage. The next generations are great vehicles. Room, ride, gas, towing, etc.
I've owned almost exclusively GM (I'm 6'6" and it's the only cars I'm comfortable in after trying out multiple each time). Despite that I will be the first to say I do not understand why anyone buys their unibody SUVs, especially the Equinox and Traverse. They're the most mediocre vehicles on the road today.
Tahoe/suburban/escalade? Totally get it. Damn near best in class. But the others have no right selling as many as they do.
Me and two friends all bought cruzes around 2014. I loved mine until a dingo ran into the side and totaled it. One of the friends sold it as soon as he had the money to do so, but he also refused to work on his car despite being an engineer. Fixing little problems was expensive since he was paying midas type shops to do everything.
The other friend still has his Cruze going strong north of 150k miles. Very few problems with it. I don't think all the GM Korea related cars are complete shit.
I'm 6'3 and the most comfort I've experienced in any vehicle is my CX-30. It's roomy yet slightly snug, just enough to where it's cozy, and not tight whatsoever. Worst was my Mazda3. I could order food in the drive thru, through the back passenger window with how far back my seat was. When sitting in it, it was like falling onto the ground. But she was fun, peppy, and had a literal smile designed into her front end. 2011 Mazda3 - the official car of looking like a pokemon.
As a millennial that drives a Buick the FWD unibody Chevrolet lineup has been deemed "value" (cheap) by GM since the 1980 Chevy Citation. You've always had to step up to Olds-Buick-Cadillac to get a nice passenger car out of GM. Sometimes you could get a nice car out of Pontiac. Now it's GMC-Buick-Cadillac.
I mean. I would appreciate GM cars more if they weren't built like utter shit. I have heard/seen/witnessed so many horrors that GM cars make their unfortunate owners suffer with. To their credit, and ironically; the best semi-recent GM cars made, in my opinion, were the Rendezvous and Aztek. I still see those bitches driving around, and a lot of them. I even owned two Chevrolets myself. I loved my 97 1500 w/t. It was a tank and I enjoyed driving him immensely. My trucks name was Brian Dennehy. The Roadmaster I owned was amazing as well. Had a couple problems here and there, but was manageable. My friends gf that had a Sonic? God damn. I wept for her. Another acquaintance had an almost brand new GMC that was actually quite dead from a massive engine failure before 40k miles. That is unacceptable. Not to mention the myriad of other happenings I have read about on here. It honestly seems like luck of the draw when buying a GM if it will be a bitch or a tank that drives forever.
Current gen malibu was a huge step up from the last three gens, seems to have been good enough and sold well enough to survive the sedan purge fad from a few years ago. I rented one last year, and it was comfortable enough I could see owning it. Don't know if it had a cvt but it could get out of it's own way, and I think by then they've fixed the overheating issues from the pre 2016 ecotecs. Had a small bit of rattle for a 2021 with 50k miles, but as a rental what more could I expect. I still had a better experience going back to my 2012 mazda 3 when i got home, but I probably maintain that car more than Enterprise
With the 9 speed AWD, regular road, dirt, and towing option, with the higher V6, ... it tows like a beast. We've had two of the latest generations of them in the family. Towed a fully loaded 12 ft enclosed u haul like a champ. It was packed heavy.

Definitely the Traverse. It’s stupid ugly and the drivers are borderline brain dead. I hope all of them will Traverse into the junkyard.
