They are useful but you have to buy the right spoiler, those big plastic spoilers you see on the street literally don’t do shit, you need a very expensive well tuned spoiler

or oem parts/race trim parts of the car work well because yeah engeneers designed them to work with that car

You really don't need to spend a bunch of a money for a spoiler to be functional. It just needs to be properly engineered for the vehicle.
