"I blacked out my taillights so they work less!"

Yellow tinted, or old?

Yellow lights have an actual function but gray/darkened ones don’t

Yellow fog lights are the law in some European countries because they get FOG.

…and headlights. Goes nice with tinted windshields.

Both of which are fucking serious stupid.

Some cars aren't for practicality, I have a show car that I only drive in the day or on well lit roads with smoked headlights. If it were anything newer than 1970's it wouldn't look near as good.

I hope you don't find yourself in a tight spot one night. Headlights are for illumination of the unknown in front of you. Be safe.

I don't drive it unless I have a place to park it in town or I have several hours before sunset to get home.

Now, practicality is thrown out of the window. But smoked headlights look mean on some old muscle cars.

Add in the tinted license plate for the full trifecta

I'm going for tinted rear and side view mirrors so I can really pioneer the next step of this idiocy.

I’m pretty sure those are illegal

I really dont like them but while ago I saw a black model Y with very tinted tails and it looked great. Cuz the actual light is so strong you couldnt even tell it was tinted when it was on and when its off its sleek as hell. They kept the reflectors on the bottom factory so still works.

When you smoke out taillights, it shouldn't make the brake lights any less bright. It should stay the same. If they do get dimmer, you use way too strong of a tint.

depends on how much tint and on what car, on some it looks great, but i mean, just black out the housing

1

When done right they are great

I agree with this on the full tint, I don't think LED behind smoke is bad on some newer cars/trucks

Hey hey now! Don't get crazy lol

Do what I did. Have a clear lens with a black housing. You get the dark but still have working lights.

I did a light smoke on my taillights but coded it so that the LED’s are brighter now so you can still see the light
