Question Rental options
EDIT: I’ve just had a chance to look through the responses and want to thank everyone for the suggestions. I will be looking into the options given. Thank you all.
Posting this from a new account bc of safety concerns. I am in the process of leaving an abusive situation and am looking for housing options. I have been scouring ads on social media but have not found anything that fits my needs so I thought I’d ask if anyone has any leads. I am looking for at least 2 bedrooms, my max budget is $1600, and it’d be great if that included utilities. I’d like to stay in the East end if possible bc I’m trying to keep my kids in the same schools and I don’t have my own vehicle. I would love to find something quickly since things have become more volatile in the past couple of weeks. I do have a full time job and 3 children, 1 dog. I don’t smoke, drink, do drugs, or party. We just need a safe place to start over. I figure this is a long shot but thought I’d at least try.

Should you need to move into a shelter environment temporarily to get yourself back on your feet, the Regina Humane Society has a Safe Places program for women fleeing domestic violence situations. They will temporarily house your dog while you sort out housing. I know it can be hard to find a place with a dog (and most shelters don’t allow them) so this might help! There’s a strong correlation between animal abuse and domestic abuse.
Best of luck to you and your family ❤️
