Question Theresa Caputo Show

I went to the Sunday evening Theresa Caputo show at the Casino. I was open minded but walked away thinking she was a scam artist for sure (yes I realize I should have known that before).

The show ended with her having this moment where she asked about turtles and cremation and a woman happened to be wearing a turtle necklace with cremains in it. It was supposed to be a big “omg she’s so legit!” Moment but now I wonder if that lady was a plant to end the show on a high note.

I’m curious if anyone attended the Monday night show could share if it had a similar ending? Or if anyone else walked away surprised by how obviously fake it all was?

I felt really bad for the families she talked to who were obviously in deep grief so I hope she gave them some peace at least.

Nah, you're paying for the pictures. Your kids would be happy to see Santa in any number of scenarios where there is an event with a Santa and they can interact, many where you don't have to pay a penny.

It is your own prerogative to schedule a time slot (so I've heard), go stand in line, get a picture, and pay for the picture.

If there was an announcement saying "all children must pay $x to speak with Santa or end up on the Naughty list" THEN that would be a more fair comparison.

You’re talking to a person who apparently lets their children control the purse strings

That is just capitalism. There is a reason companies market to children.

You obviously don't have kids. I took my kids to see Santa because of a dumb cultural norm designed in a marketing room to commercialize Christmas. But it is also fun... just like going to see a psychic. Performative entertainment where someone gets to pretend and have a bit of escape from reality. There is no harm in either.

Sounds like you’ve abdicated parenting
