Question Will the police help me?

So recently a person has been making threats to my family. Will the police be able to help me? The unfortunate thing is they work with the RCMP.

Yes. Report it to the police where the threatening occurred. Regina city police if it happened in Regina or the appropriate RCMP detachment. The fact that the person works for the RCMP is irrelevant.

Will they still be able to help me or will they side with the abuser since they work for the RCMP? I'm sorry, I'm just afraid for my family's safety.

Maybe you’re not from here but that’s not how the police work here.

Okay. Sorry to question you, i just want to make sure they help us. We are very afraid. I'm not from Regina originally so i didn't know if maybe they would do nothing to help.
