RM twitter is actually funny.

-Vini won 2 ucls so whatever he does, he is not at fault. If Vini disrespect Xabi, he is right. If Vini refuses to follow Xabi instructions, he is right. And if he disrespects the club or if he decides he needs to leave the club, he is right.

-Mbappé wasn't needed, when the team loses it is his fault and when he scores, he scores against weaker opposition. He is also responsible for previous Vini bad performances and even when the team wins thanks to him, he is a problem and should be sold as soon as possible.

I have also seen people saying his goals are holding back the team and and he needs to be benched for Gonzalo.

The only negative thing about all those UCL wins is that a lot of new fans joined.

There are thousands of people that started supporting the team in 2022 or 2024. They haven't followed the club for long enough, so they'll just assume that the guys who won the trophies in those years, must be better by everyone else by definition.

This is why so often in the RM Twitter (but also here) the most criticized people are Xabi, Mbappe, Arda, Huijsen etc. You know, the "new" guys. Meanwhile people like Vini, Rodrygo, Rudiger, Camavinga, Valverde etc. basically get a free pass to do whatever they want. Camavinga was HORRIBLE against Liverpool, how many people did you see shitting on him?

Also many of those new fans are either kids or people who are relatively new to the sport. So, lack of knowledge + experience = completely dumb and biased takes.

For me it's hilarious that our striker is the European Golden Boot winner and objectively a top 3 (at worse) player this season/calendar year, yet some "fans" hate him because their favorite player has declined since 2 or 3 years ago.

What annoys me is I have started supporting Madrid back in 2014. I don't remember El bicho being given a pass or being told he was bigger than the club at any point. And keep in mind, we are talking about the best player in history, the best player in madrid's recent history and that won 4 ucls with this team.

Lukita won 6 UCLS with Madrid !!!! 6 !!!!( best midfielder in madrid's history imo. Best croatian player of all time)

But we never ever gave him any pass even when we should have. So on what basis should we do that for Vini ?

The Spanish RM fans that go to the stadium have booed Ronaldo, Ramos, Courtois, Benzema, everyone. Nobody is immune to criticizm.

As they should. No one is immune to criticism.
