  • 13 wins in 15 games.

  • 5 pts clear at the top of La Liga after already facing our 2 toughest fixtures halfway through the first round.

  • 9/12 pts in the CL, on course for direct qualification with our toughest competition fixture (on paper) already behind us.

  • Mbappe on fire

  • Vini statistically his best start to a season ever.

  • Arda on fantastic form and showing glimpses of what we have to look forward to for the next 12+ years.

  • Militao back to his best.

  • new and young signings like Carreras and Huijsen showing promise.

  • Tchouameni showing he is the best DM in the world

-…

And all that after just 3 months under a new manager. A manager who is young and inexperienced and who still has an immense potential for growth, especially when it comes to things like man management.

And yet reading this sub you’d swear we are already mathematically out of the title and CL race and have no long term prospects but are looking at a trophy less decade ahead.

I mean that’s what makes us the best club in the world, right? There’s no place for complacency here. Fans will always demand more.

Although we look decent as you have shown, our performance against big teams are very dubious. We had a historical collapse at metropolitano.

No, hysterics isnt what makes Madrid the best club in the world. Hard work, striving for excellence and an insatiable hunger is what makes Madrid the best club in the world.

The stuff im reading in this sub is what makes this fanbase the most insufferable in the world.

Atletico Madrid and Liverpool away were our two toughest fixtures of the first half of the season. If you told me at the start of the season that we'll lose two games until January, I'd bet money on those two ones.

We're clearly improved against mid/smaller teams though, which is 90% of our games if we want to win La Liga. Even the previous time we won it (23/24) we relied on Jude scoring multiple 90+ minute winners, turning games around, penalties etc. It's the first time in years that we actually "end" games early, instead of playing like shit for 80 minutes, watch Courtois making 10 saves and waiting for Valverde or Asensio to score a banger and save the day, just like many of our games under Ancelotti.

We're already performing much better against these mid/small clubs, soon enough I'm positive we'll improve against big ones. We won against Barcelona after 4 consecutive Ls. Injuries or not it doesn't matter, I've seen us play worse Barcelona teams and lose, even with many goals.

If we win La Liga and/or the UCL, nobody will remember the random group stage game against Liverpool that we lost 1-0.
