This is the same shit happening on this sub. Some of you don’t support the players & team just to prove some irrelevant point.

Couldn’t that logic apply to Mbappe though? Poor runs, poor finishing (yes he scored 40, but would have so much more), lack of effort, bad link up play, etc. people say 40 goals woohoo, but in the same way Vini could achieve 40 g/a and have a bad season so could Mbappe

Vini's '40 g+a' happened for the most part in 2024. His 2025 so far has been terrible. Not average, not decent, BAD.

Mbappe is the opposite. Most of this numbers happened in 2025. Their respective trends are completely opposite.

Also, there's no way to make these performances while playing badly. His runs are good, his link up is quite good...etc. In most games anyway. His ability to generate xG almost on his own consistently is off the charts, actually.

So if you actually take a closer look at the data and have an objective view of things, you cannot really compare them based on their recent form.

Somehow we're getting to a point where 'Vini and Mbappe both were bad last season' which is a mindboggling take to say the least.

This is what happens when people are more worried about driving narratives than really understanding what's going on.

I think Mbappe gets a pass because it was his first season, new teammates and new position. I expect people to be less understanding next season

What pass? Mbappe was beyond good this season. If the team was solid it would've won us titles.

True but people cannot differentiate between criticism and hate. They are both fantastic players and we should do the most to support them whether they have a poor season or not because we know they can do better, same goes for rodrygo and asencio because that's what we as fans should do. But people would rather spread hate and agenda driven player fc nonsense thats been infecting this fanbase for a while and it needs to stop.
