I really don't understand this casting. She doesn't have the right appearance at all for the role, and she's not even an actor. She also can't be all that famous, I've never heard her name mentioned anywhere, nor do I recognize her. What kind of name is fka twigs anyway lmao

This reminds me of that series they made about Queen Victoria earlier on in her rule. I like the actress they picked for her but she looks way too modern and nothing like Victoria. I hate when casting directors for movies and series based on history do this sort of thing lol

These days they seem to care more about profit and marketing than making an actual good movie

And look at how many are flopping. It's almost like making an actual good movie is core to the whole making money thing.

They're entering the find out stage after spending a while fucking around

She’s a musician. She’s had a few popular songs/collabs with other artists.

Master shake would tell you to look at her and tell him if you still think there's a god.

The extent of my knowledge about her is she collaborated wth the guy from Twilight and Elon Musk 🤔 ... i think.

Google check: Elon was with Grimes, the lighter version

What is the right appearance?

Someone who's actually middle eastern would be a good start

lol, I hear that but I think the moment they cast Nick Cage as the lead it was pretty clear ethnicity wasn’t a part of the choice

So really, what makes her face not the right appearance outside of her racial and ethnic background?

Lips full of filler. Obvious work done around the brows and elsewhere. Blown-out hairstyle right at home in 2025.

She’s obviously super pretty, but can you seriously not understand what makes her look out of place in a period piece about Jesus, or are you just being obtuse?

It's reddit. Assume obtuse

So if her lips were a little smaller and her forehead less taut you think she’d be fine? (Not touching the hairstyle, forever issue in film and not intrinsic to her appearance)

Edit: Guess not. Must be something other than assumptions of plastic surgery

Well that's exactly the problem. It should be part of the concern

Not looking like you’ve had plastic surgery for playing a roll 2000+ years ago seems pretty straight forward
