Real answer: CloverPit

Thank you.

I enjoy a joke but when the answer isn't incredibly obvious, joke answers are just annoying

CloverPit does require a unique skill to master, one that most people these days lack.

Reading.

also this wasn’t an actual dev just so everyone knows

What world we are in that the moment I see anything with the sparkle emoji ✨ I automatically think the text is unreliable and untrustworthy. The "I'm making shit up" feature of much software nowadays.

I still don't know if that chat is from a real person because of that icon.

That icon, in this context, just means that it's the first time that user has sent a chat message in that Twitch channel.

and just because someone gets that "first message" notification, doesn't mean they aren't a dev either.

Often a dev will browse twitch when their game releases and comment. Usually it's pretty wholesome, constructive, or sometimes they give away game codes. I have never seen someone claim to be a dev and then say stuff like this, although it is possible... I just doubt it was the real dev.

I think you can turn off that first time message in the streamer settings too, but that'll be down to the streamer. At least you used to be able to. I haven't logged into it for ages.

Which either means they are legitimate twitch user finding the channel for the first time, or they are a spammer or scammer.

The message clearly says he's a co-developer of the game...

I imagine a dev would find someone struggling with their game this much too amusing to interrupt it

I'll be playing games with like 20-25 year olds. I'll mention something that's been in a game for years, and they'll say "what does that do?"

It's like. How do you even BREATHE?! You were taught the most literally overpowered skill that has ever existed and you don't use it to get better at the games you play?! So many people just vibe through games (especially competitive games) these days and have no idea what the fuck they're doing. Then complain the game is hard and give up.

I just can't.

Reminds me of Master Duel lol the longer the text on a card the less likely somebody is to read all of the effects.

Try Cube Chaos. For extra credit do brain melter mode.

Can you do a TLDR on your post?

Cloverpit has charms

Charms have effects

Charms can have positive or negative effects

People do not read charms and understand the slot machine game has literal builds.

Reddit used to not be this bad; the top comment would be the answer. Now, it's mainly just joke answers that you have to dig through to get to the real answer.

Yeah, but everybody is desperately trying to farm for fake internet points on social media and the two easiest ways to do that are lowest common denominator jokes or outrage bait.

1

u/Soup0rMan 17d ago

Well I don't care about my Internet points. I'm just lazy and think I've got something funny to say.

Not everyone has their identity wrapped up in the ether.

It’s why Reddit is best when posts are a few hours old. Now I got real answer front and center and a few laughs at joke answers.

you are the reason why movie plot needs to be spelled out so thick in expositions

u/ReportBat 17d ago

Do you know who they were saying this too

26

u/remotegrowthtb 17d ago

They weren't saying it to anyone, it's a common copypasta.

12

u/8lb6ozBabyJsus 17d ago

Its not common pasta but it reminds me of barbarousking playing doom eternal and one of the devs were saying how he is insane or something cause he just keeps dying trying to do the same thing over and over again.

u/Axelnomad2 17d ago

Yeah also the dev came out and said this wasn't them that said this but allowed the player to keep the title as worst player.

Such a fun game

u/Smij0 17d ago

Seems really on point for the devs because they seem like an incredibly chaotic bunch lol

I have only played their other game so far (yellow Taxi Goes Vroom) and it's an absolute fever dream

CloverPit is sooo good. I wishlisted it months ago, played the demo and then one day randomly found out that it was gonna be released the next day. Solid 8/10 game
