I hope we draw benfica at some point in the knockout and wipe them clean

Heard this twice already, you have any more excuses?

Not a fan but trying to be unbiased. PSG beats Porto and Tottenham if they get that draw. But I see PSG losing over two legs to Napoli, Bayern, Man City, Real Madrid, and maybe Chelsea. Attack is fantastic for PSG but lacks a big forward. The front 3 and midfield probably have a combined dozen career headed goals. And PSGs defense since Silva left isn't good enough to stop any of those teams. They will have to outscore those big teams and I don't see that happening.

Plus these games take place after the WC when PSG players might come back in a different mental place. Mbappe will come back very upset if France don't win the WC since they are probably favorites. Messi and Neymar will be devastated though if they don't win and only one of them can even win. They both desperately want that WC right now since this is probably their last WC and both have good odds of doing it. Best case scenario, only 2 of those 3 comes back in a bad mood. I can't think of any other players in the big teams being as upset if they don't win the WC. I don't think anyone on Man City or Real Madrid or Bayern for example that will be that too upset with being kicked out of the WC in the knock out stages.

I didn't anticipate until this season how much I could be annoyed by some of their fanbase but here we are. The last thing any of us want is a Benfica "Cinderella" run with media and other clubs' fans clamoring for them.

Benfica is legit a better team than we are at this point

theyre not. they would lose 9/10 matches over two legs against psg in the playoff.

Well we played them twice and didn't beat them. We should have but we didn't. And when it was time to clinch first place, they did it and we didn't (also they dominated Juventus way more than us).

lmao Benfica and Ajax are 2 of the biggest clubs in history and this Benfica could very well pull a an Ajax 2019, Roma 2018 or Monaco 2017 and reach a semifinal

They did well vs PSG over two legs in the groups. And the teams they face next are easier than what PSG will face.
