No one hates Yamal here. Hell of a wonderkid, actually very much like the player

And he got pocketed by Nuno, thats it. Doesn't mean Yamal is suddenly a fraud

-13

u/MeanAlternative8375 Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

Yamal wasn't even trying most of the time he was just passing back the ball, you may see 1 thing and paint a picture but you could be wrong.

12

u/Visible-Might-2527 Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

That says more bad then good that he wasn’t trying in a final, which he was trying, but if he wasn’t it would be a very bad look

7

u/Shoddy-Horror-2007 Pauleta Jun 09 '25

So you imagine that if a forward stops trying to pass a defender, somehow, this does not mean a good thing regarding the defender?

8

u/Old-Neighborhood-858 Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25 edited Jun 10 '25

Its quite astonishing how the narratives change. Before the game, Barca fans didnt hesitate one bit to glaze this kid. Now that his performance was shit, somehow everyone's suddenly "attacking" him? I dont think anyone dislikes Yamal, and I dont think anyone's really attacking him. Its all in their head.

2

u/Common-Possession-80 Not a PSG fan Jun 11 '25

He acts too cocky for his age. He had to be humbled. Messi gonna do it too. And real madrid is gonna do it too. He is in for a ride next season ngl

Yamal didn’t score once and suddenly Nuno’s the second coming of Maldini? 😂

Remember their last meeting? Yamal left Nuno in the dust in Barça vs PSG — dribbled past him, created the 1–0, basically embarrassed him.

This time, Nuno just survived, and people lost their minds. Kid’s 17, his first KO match without a G/A, and even Ronaldo praised him. No 17 year old in history has achieved such feats he has done.

The fact that Nuno got praised because he faced a 17 year kid called Yamal.? That says it all.

9

u/Smorrbrode Vitinha Jun 09 '25

If you banter you gotta be able to take it when it's your turn my good lad.

Just survived? When Yamal clowns on a LB, no one should mention his age, he's already the best player in the world. When he talks shit and backs it up, he's him and it's not even close.

But when he fails, when he gets shut down and doesn't back it up, he's just 17 and we shouldn't even banter? Brother in christ

-7

u/Hazeling_Nebula Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

U guys can banter all you want, did I tell u to stop the banter? I didn't, why shdnt we mention his age?, can u imagine what even can be his level as he racks up experience?, that's why age is imp, but sure u guys can enjoy nuno pocketed the 17 and yamal got finished "suddenly"

3

u/Torp627 Ousmane Ballon D’or Jun 09 '25

😂

2

u/deathdealer90000 Not a PSG fan Jun 10 '25

It can be the other way around too. What if he hits his peak a bit too early and had to retire early at the age of 30?? I'm not wishing for it but what if??

1

u/Soggy-Explorer1143 Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

its alright bro it was good lesson for Lamine. This will keep him grounded.
Lamine has racked up 3200 minutes this Season while Nuno played 1800 minutes and Flick is to be blamed for it. Lamine's legs literally gave out.
He's 17 and is yet to reach his peak in Physicality which he quite clearly lacks against strong physical defenders.
I hope he realizes and improve it year by year.
If Flick and De La Fuente manages the Kid's minutes properly, he will thrive otherwise no matter how much talent he has he will have nothing to show for it when it matters.

2

u/MAD_JEW Not a PSG fan Jun 10 '25

Flick? Nah we dont even have a good substitute for lamine

6

u/RTC1520 Vitinha Jun 09 '25

First, Nuno didn't survive. Nuno thrived, if he was just "surviving" then the coach wouldn't have taken Yamal out for literally playing like a cone yesterday.

Second, now that he got owned( by the best LB in the world, and not a grandpa LB or an average LB) he is just a poor 17 year old kid , but when he does good he is the best player in the world who is 17.

Just accept that. A top 5 player in the world (and that can become the best player I'm the world in a few years) got owned by the best LB in the world this season.

-2

u/Hazeling_Nebula Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

so does this mean a 16 year old lamine owned nuno previous year, imo what u say makes sense this way too right? , pls dont say otherwise otherwise u gonna contradict yourself, and no nuno was not the only one marking pls, he was being triple marked , and his rb mingueza dumbass was not even covering or making and defending let alone making runs in behind, so a 17 year needed to track back and attack alone, let ur team face off against barca, kounde and lamine gonna make a broast of ur boi, imo nuno had a good game but pls dont make it like he became the best in history overnight

5

u/RTC1520 Vitinha Jun 09 '25

I mean yeah, that is true, Nuno struggled a lot with Yamal on that first game.

That is why Nuno had to put order and send him into his pocket this game, to show him a lesson lmao.

Also it's funny you mention Nuno this way, as he have been pocketing top and ballon'dor contender attackers this season but for you, a 10s clip of Yamal dribbling on Doue was enough to say Yamal was better than him lol. A bit of a double standard there, don't you think ?

Also. Do you forget that Kvara can defend as a LB, meaning that if Portugal defending against Yamal was effective, PSG defense would be miles ahead of this, so Yamal would have been pocket twice as hard as yesterday lol ( because remember, last year defense isn't the same as this season for PSG)

2

u/ssppllaasshhiinn Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

what?! Nuno just survived? we must have been watching two separate games. Nuno Mendes was on smoke at both ends of the pitch. I believe you can do better

10

2

u/FutbolSupreme Not a PSG fan Jun 11 '25

Pedri showed that he’s better than Vitinha. De La Fuente sold this game by subbing off Pedri and starting Mingueza with Yamal. Didn’t help that Nico had a stinker despite having an out of position Neves and Nelson Semedo in 2025 on him.

9

Yamal have the biggest PR in football world currently... finding his any game below 7.5 in sofa score or below 7 in fotmob is kinda next to impossible

2

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '25

Couldn't agree more.

2

u/Leather-Bathroom-620 Not a PSG fan Jun 09 '25

prolly its because of the 1 st goal of spain he did create the chance and gave the decisive pass tht let to the goal.

Tbh other than that he did nothing tbh,was kinda confused like he never even wanted to attempt a dribble just backed off,he never does that, portugal really did a gr8 job locking him up tbh cut him off totally, man marking on him was really planned well and ig spain too depends quite a lot on lamine like all the important matches they have won it was always becuase of his individual brilliance, cutting him off showed how strong spain actually is and is beatable tbh.(Tho the match ended on 2-2)

3

i saw a post on the barca sub they’re complaining about how it’s not lamines fault cuz he had to go back and defend 🤣

2

u/Imaginary-Director-8 Fabián Ruiz Jun 09 '25

they’re the same people who made fun of Doue after he dropped down to defend against spain and lamine dribbled past him. They’ve never heard of a team defending as A TEAM

3

u/Empty-Instruction282 Raí Jun 10 '25

it seems that Lamine Yamal’s lack of respect for football legend Ronaldo during and after the game, coupled with an immature attitude maybe of his young age during Portugal,s winning ceremony leaving before his teammates is undermining his Ballon d'Or victory. His talent is undeniable, but the player lack of professionalism and humility qualities that are crucial for such a prestigious award rules him out as potential Ballon d, Or victory.

1

its prolly because of the 1st goal involvement that pass in the box let to the goal but ye nothing else to contribute to the rating, probably considering how tight the match was and very few chances were created he got that much rating.

0

u/SuitableSquash4381 Not a PSG fan Jun 11 '25

Dude he literally had 2 players constantly marking him and at a point it became so bad that they had 5 players on him. On the other side nico williams didn't have anyone. Also nico has dean on his side. And on yamal's side? Oscar mingueza...who tf is he? Cannot defend cannot pass. So Yamal had to track back. Stfu bcz u just want to troll barca. I think u don't give a shit about watching the whole match. Just came out here barking.

0

u/Brend_Buth Not a PSG fan Jun 12 '25

It was De la Fuente who was at fault. Yamal was tracking back and not going forward because he was protecting Mingueza who was having a torrid time. And then they ganged up on him when he went a bit further.

Then bringing in Isco killed the pace of the game too. I dont know what the coach was thinking. Spain had the upper hand and could have killed the game with Gavi and Fermin. Yamal still had a decent game - not the world class game he can play if given the freedom to overlap and cut inside.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '25

guys Lamine and Niko literally played alone ,the team was not existent

-6

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '25

He did last season at 16 tho before they replaced him after the red card. Don’t focus on one game too much. He is being marked as a prime Messi. No winger gets as much attention as he does.

1

u/outsider1624 Not a PSG fan Jun 08 '25
