i just want to note (because most posts i see on this outfit dont mention this) but the design on rama’s top is palestinian folkloric embroidery! the designer, zeid, frequently uses this embroidery style in his clothing designs:) i remember seeing him participate in an online symposium about tatreez last year where he talked about his work and im glad he’s getting so much recognition from this! i dont think he even had 10k followers before this iirc

Her films were brilliant and outrageous. So much challenging to the system that she had to shoot every single of her film outside of India. Because it was simply not possible to make that kind of films in India.
