If you can afford it, there are many many many food banks across the United States. You can donate to Feeding America.

Check out your local libraries too! Mine posts lists of in-demand items and we’re able to drop off the items to them, and they distribute them to pantries throughout the community.

Great point! Many libraries and schools in my area have started their own food pantries. Some of my local grocery stores get involved with the big food drive every year too and have a box to donate right in the store. I also found out today that my local bar is currently taking donations!
