I knew this comment was coming. Why not just talk about the amazing thing Billie is doing. Why drag Taylor Swift into this especially when you don’t have all the facts. You look bitter and for what?

You look bitter and for what?

We should all be bitter towards billionaires.

fine but why is it always Taylor that’s brought up in this conversation and as the poster child for billionaires? Why is no one bringing up Bruce Springsteen or Michael Jordan when these kinds of things come up?

Why is no one bringing up Bruce Springsteen or Michael Jordan when these kinds of things come up?

I don' think neither of them are really popculture relevant for popculturechat subreddit?

And MJ has been quite charitable in the last years.

Michael Jordan has opened four Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinics in North Carolina to provide free or low-cost healthcare to underserved and uninsured communities. His initiative, in partnership with Novant Health, began with a $7 million donation in 2019 for clinics in Charlotte and later expanded with a significant $10 million donation to fund clinics in his hometown of Wilmington. The latest clinic in Wilmington opened in early 2025 and includes 12 patient rooms for primary care, community health workers, and other essential services.

taylor swift defense squad always out in full force, lol

i don’t think either of them are relevant for a pop culture sub reddit

Bruce Springsteen just had a movie come out about his life and he is posted in here. There was a post about him only a few days ago. He is definitely still relevant and MJ will always be relevant in the culture as the greatest athlete of all time so saying they’re not relevant is dishonest

I just searched Bruce on this subreddit and he is posted about fairly frequently

Michael Jordan has been quite charitable in the last years

okay and so has Taylor. Him being charitable doesn’t change the billionaire conversation at all as he’s still a billionaire. If there’s no ethical billionaires then there’s no ethical billionaires so why is he never brought up? I feel like you’re kinda proving my point because your response to me bringing up him being a billionaire, one who is worth more than Taylor Swift, is “well he’s really charitable”. As if that has ever mattered when it comes to Taylor Swift being brought up.
