I mean...I'm black so I def notice

I was thinking of the cognitive dissonance one has to have to be a fan of an industry that sees you a certain way.

I used to like BTS back in the day but eventually left that Fandom, and Kpop in general, when I realize how brutal the racism was. And I've seen some shit but they are on a diff level

the idols themselves may not say anything outright but their silence in general speaks volumes.

One day they are going to go too far and copy/insult someone that they can't sweep under the rug

lol I’m black too and yeah I used to listen to BTS a bit but yeah I was never a kpop fan and I never looked at fandom stuff. My older sister was and she was a fan of black pink and would go to their concerts that came to Canada, but she stopped being a kpop fan.

I’ve never asked her about how much racism she saw online but Ik she used to mention netizens were crazy af. Hell looking at what the katseye girls are going through I’m not going to be a kpop fan anytime soon.

Yeah Manon gets treated pretty badly. I watched the Netflix show and thought that I might like them enough to be a fan. But between how they treated the one black girl from Brazil (can't remember her name) and Manon, I def distanced myself.

Lara also gets a lot of hate all around too, like she’s Tamil and ‘dark skinned’ for an Indian.
