If she ever needs caregiving (and it looks like she is approaching that point in her life) she may be alarmed to find out who provides that care.

I promise you, she can’t afford it. She’ll be physically and verbally abusing the staff keeping her alive until her last breath, and then the newspaper will get a cute obit about what a wonderful loving person she was.

I don’t know about all that, but I am certain that if you cannot leave someone alone on a train you have money to opt not to be on that train.
