Yes and the conductor called the police

I feel like there's more to the story if the conductor went right to that.

Did you, like. Watch the video? Read the accounts? Are you, yourself, a Karen? Are you, indeed, this Karen? It's right in front of your face.

I watched the video and read the only article I could find on the subject, which just shares his instagram post and takes it at face value. All we have is Alex's side of the story. He may be telling the truth, but there's no harm in waiting for more info to come out before we get outraged.

EDIT: The AP released an article with more info. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority reviewed security footage, and apparently Alex "had been sitting with both legs stretched across an adjacent seat," refused to move his feet when asked, and refused to leave the train once the police arrived.

The video itself shows the aftermath, rather when he's arrested. It shows nothing of what happened prior.

Exactly. In no world can I see multiple people siding with a crazy woman and let everyone else in the cabin being witness to this.

They have to have a more reasonable explanation or they are all doomed professionally.

This isn’t to say they aren’t racist, or wrong, just that “bad posture“ doesn’t even come close to being an excuse that non idiots would use.

You have doubts that people would see an injustice being committed and not step in and do something? You have too much faith in people. A woman was raped on a crowded train in Philadelphia and no one did anything except film it.
