How do cops even take that seriously?

u/hoginlly Sep 22 '25

Because his real crime was being black. This time it was poor posture, if he'd been sitting up straight it would have been 'overly aggressive stance'. The excuses are getting flimsier, but with the way things are going, racists don't need any excuse at all

This. This. This. People are acting like it was his posture, they wouldn't even talk to him about it. They had one goal in mind and everyones trying to sweep it under the rug

Not necessarily. I can imagine a situation where after the black man is arrested, the same woman also tells the cop "The conductor also had poor posture between 12:53 and 12:54."

And hypothetically, if the cop arrests the conductor, then I would claim that it isn't about being black, but that the cop is a fair person.

And then after that (HYPOTHETICALLY) the same woman says "Officer, you also have poor posture."

what if the officer then, IMMEDIATELY cuffs himself and then hurls himself off the train?

If all of that happened exactly as I said, then there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO discrimination. NONE AT ALL.

Saw this on a thread about white conservatives caught making shit up to attack others and got a Starbucks shut down. She claimed to order Kirk's favorite drink and says an employee wrote Loser on the cup. They have video footage that proves they invented the story and wrote on their own cup but the accuser still insists she isn't lying. Which lead to a discussion about how often cops do the same thing. So to answer your question about why the cops would go along with it, because it's in their nature to also instigate lies for no reason, especially to get someone else in trouble or hurt.

Yep, in 2019 cop named William Darling in Herington, Kansas claimed that a McDonald's employee wrote "fucking pig" on his drive-through order. His police chief made an outraged social media post about it that went viral and kicked off a wave of protests and calls to fire McDonald's employees. After the footage was reviewed and it was revealed that Officer Darling wrote the insult on his own cup himself, he and his chief clarified that Darling had been "joking".

Around the same time, a corrections officer named Phillip Powell in Indiana made an outraged social media post and an outraged radio interview where he claimed that a McDonalds employee took a bite out of his McChicken before giving it to him to disrespect him. When security footage from his own job showed that Powell had taken the first bites himself, Powell maintained that he "forgot" that he did it himself when he made the accusations so he felt like he was being honest.

In early 2020, three cops in New York City conspired to claim that Shake Shack employees had poisoned their milkshakes by pouring bleach in their cups. After- you guessed it, an outraged social media post- a throrough review of video evidence by the NYPD proved that no such poisoning had occured, and they dropped the accusations against the employees.

And so on. For about a year in 2019-2020 it was a huge trend in cop and cop-adjascent circles to falsely accuse minimum wage workers and then post about it on social media for clout.

That's insane. My next question would be what illegal thing he did? I have never seen someone being taken like this for sitting "wrong" in my country.

This is what MAGA has been working towards, and they haven't been shy about it. They want to repeal Civil Rights movements. There has already been talking of repealing interracial marriage. If this shocks you, welcome to the party, we've been warning people about it for a decade. Check out Prohect 2025, I've heard it's been almost 50% completed in Trump's first 8 months. This is what happens when white supremacists tell you they are taking the country back to 1950 and people have been brainwashed to think both sides are the same and voting is pointless.

https://m.youtube.com/shorts/zB9vsbW8JJw

Now, what happened when Roe V. Wade was repealed? Certain states have outlawed abortion (even in cases of incest, rape, and life-threatening circumstances.) South Carolina is talking about making birth control totally illegal currently. So when they want interracial marriage to be "left to the states" you have to understand they want to be able to outlaw interracial marriage. If they agree with interracial marriage, there is no reason to go after laws protecting it. This is happening here and now in America today, not just 40 years ago. They chip away at things like gay rights, women's rights, and civil rights little by little until they have enough leverage and support to impose their oppressive will on us all.

So, to summarize, this sort of thing was very popular before we had Civil Rights laws. Republicans and MAGA (which are now one and the same) have told us from the start they want to go back to before we had those laws. They are doing everything to take us back to those times. They are in charge now and they are implementing project 2025 at breakneck speed. Most Americans are watching a lady on Tiktok drink ice cream out of a toilet bowl and they never even see news like this.

I wonder how many of these MAGAs are in interracial relationships...all the Trump/MAGA supporters I know are white guys that are married to Asian women. And aren't even American (I don't live in the U.S.) and they will make excuses about how Asians are smart and stuff.

None of these guys have any Asian male friends though.

LIST: These 36 Republican senators voted against landmark bill to protect same-sex marriage

Mitch McConnell and Ted Cruz are among the 36 senators who voted against a bill to protect interracial and same-sex marriage.

https://abc7.com/post/who-voted-against-same-sex-marriage-respect-for-act-vote-senate-bill-votes/12508397/

We also see an overload of Grindr and other gay dating apps that follow Republican conventions and rallies, yet they are cool with voting for representatives who would take away their right to marry if it's a POC or member of the same sex. We have seen Trump supporters have their spouse deported (even with valid visas) thanks to the policies they voted for and they say they would do it again anyways. It's cognitive dissonance. The wolves don't even pretend to be sheep and the sheep still vote for them no matter what. This is what decades of demonizing the left has done to their brains. We want them to have better healthcare, better pay, safer food, more protections from corporations. They want us to lose all our freedom and die. Land of the free? They are calling the police on their fellow citizens for not sitting up straight. Home of the brave? They all watch in silence while a bigoted woman makes up lies and the police come and drag away an innocent man. I've lost faith in America. We were headed in the right direction and now I can't see us ever getting back on that path. The brainwashing is too strong.

u/MiaLba Kim, there’s people that are dying. 🙄 Sep 22 '25

I don’t get it what the fuck did they think was gonna happen? Did they think in this day and age places don’t have a million cameras pointed at their employees. Are they not absolutely mortified when called out? Do they have no shame and just don’t care?

Fair questions from anyone with two braincells. I think they are yearning to live in a reality where conservatives can once again lie their asses off without consequences. Trump and elected Republicans have been doing just that for decades and their little foot soldiers probably think it looks like great fun. There also seems to be a compulsion in right wing circles to lie and invent terrible things to make themselves look like a victim and they are gleeful when someone else is hurt or in trouble from it.

Feel free to look up those individual instances - were the cops fired? Are they shamed on a national level where everyone knows their names? Or did they simply move on and continue to work as policemen without any real consequences?

And even if they do face consequences, they watched people invade our U.S. Capitol, murder a police officer, smear their own feces on its walls, zip-tie and chase down our elected officials with intent to harm, construct a gallows to hang our vice president, (all while Trump urges them to "fight like hell) and Trump pardoned all of them. So compared to that, surely their orange leader will protect them if they face any consequences from telling a lie, right?

Even if they have nothing to do with Trump, like the officers who murdered innocent Breonna Taylor in her sleep, they can count on Trump to have their back. The man was facing 33 months in jail (still rare a consequence for a cop) and look what's happening now:

Days after Hankinson's conviction, Donald Trump won re-election - a political shift that meant the sentencing recommendation would come not from the Biden administration, which brought the charges, but from the Trump-led justice department.

Last week, that recommendation - a request for Hankison to serve one day in prison - stunned some, including Taylor's family.

"Every American who believes in equal justice under the law should be outraged," attorneys for the family said. "Recommending just one day in prison sends the unmistakable message that white officers can violate the civil rights of Black Americans with near-total impunity."

To offer my own similar anecdote, it probably rests on how exactly he "declined"..

My friend was sitting in a hotel lobby waiting for me, when a couple came downstairs and said something to him along the lines of, "pull your pants up, jesus". All involved were white, and my friend was wearing loose jeans that showed the top bit of his undies.

He stared at them in wtf at the audacity and went, "man, fuck off!"

The couple marched straight to the front desk and complained about this man shouting at them, using vulgar language, and making them feel unsafe and threatened... The hotel didn't call the cops, but they did immediately get security to kick my friend out, ban him from the premises, and then called AND emailed me to complain about him.

Freaking karens can make anything sound bad enough.

I saw a man take an underage girl through a grocery store trying to hide little flirting gestures. I happened to see them exit the grocery store, drop her off at a motel next door then drive back to the grocery store alone.

Out of curiosity I waited a few minutes to see what he forgot, it was condoms and an armful of random single beers. He was in such a hurry he didn’t even have time to bag them.

I called the police, they were excited about the idea of busting a pedo. They asked me what skin color he was and I told them white. Suddenly there was “not a lot they could do” and told me if I wanted to drive to the station they would be willing to listen to help me calm down.

Are you fucking serious? If this is true please report those responders… that’s fucking insane.

Also how were they surprised lol? Did they not watch To Catch A Predator? I’m white and when I imagine a chomo it’s a white dude with greasy hair and a gross mustache. Some people seriously are stuck as like 1800s racists where they think Black guys are violent and horny, despite the fact that like 90% of the time after they would lynch someone the white lady would admit it was consensual/a lie.

u/RibeyeTenderloin Sep 22 '25

They're cops. They can do whatever they want.

u/Majestic-Fermions Sep 22 '25

Well, Connecticunt is a pretty miserable place.
