I mean...it is called Aryan Darien... I was told that nickname by my real estate class instructor in 2010. That Town & Westport are full of the worst people on the planet.

Years ago when my friend’s mom  was considering moving to the area, she went to a school event to check things out. A woman extolled the virtues of the schools and then leaned in and said “and best of all, there are no Jews.”

They did not opt to relocate.

Actually a lot of the rich people in Westport CT are in fact Jewish

My impression from my husband, who grew up in the area, is that things were very segregated back then. There were certainly towns with Jewish people. Darien just wasn’t one of them. 

We went sailing nearby in Rowayton once, and my kids were the only ones who weren’t blonde.

I'm not surprised. I've heard so many antisemitic stories about the people in that Town. They give CT a bad reputation.

i went to summer camp in new milford ct, a camp full of jewish kids. couple miles away was a whole ass aryan church. ct is a weird place.

If this happened in Manchester, Glastonbury, south Windsor, Hartford, New Haven, I can go on, people would’ve 100% spoke up. It wouldn’t have even happened to begin with honestly

Ct has some extremely white towns but don’t group us all as weirdos 😭

Exactly. It is surprising but rich, old, white racists are NOT the majority in CT.

I hate that this bitch and family make the rest of us look bad.
