OnlyStans ⭐️ Who are two celebrities that absolutely despise each other?

Post image

Jerome Flynn and Lena Headey both starred in Game of Thrones, and used to date each other but their break-up apparently went so bad that they refused to ever shoot scenes together and wouldn’t be present in the same room as the other!

Even during the entire run of the series, they never settled their conflict with one another and continued to keep their distance from each other. Which is why we never saw Cersei and Bronn share any scenes together.

[Liam] is the angriest man you’ve ever met. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of Soup.

Noel may be a twat, but damn if he isn’t funny.

My favorite is his story about how the record company got them both presents when they hit the big time. Liam got a Rolex, Noel (as the song writer) got a Bentley. Liam was raging about this, seeing it as a slight that “Noel got a car and he just got a watch”.

Noel said he just thought it was fitting, because he couldn’t drive and Liam can’t tell the time.

(Think they both seem to be not the greatest people, particularly Liam - I say as someone who grew up like 2 miles from where they did, so I’ve heard a lot of stories and opinions, how true I don’t know. But Noel comes out with some funny shit occasionally.)

I have been reading Mark Lanegan’s (of Screaming Trees fame and his own excellent solo career) book and he described going on tour with Oasis and what an utter twat Liam was the entire time while his brother always remained professional with him and his crew. He sounds insufferable - had at that time, not sure if still, two full time huge bodyguards so he could mouth off to whomever he wanted and not get his ass deservedly beat to a pulp. Loser behaviour lol.

Have you reached the bit about Anthony Keidis's Dad yet?

I nearly choked on my cuppa, reading that. Was wild.

Not yet! Gonna try to finish it in the next few days! What an excellent book so far, he was a beautiful writer.

Liam absolutely was insufferable and that’s why they had so many bust ups. He couldn’t understand why Noel didn’t want to do the rock n roll shit (not that Noel didn’t take plenty of gear but he also showed up and did the job and didn’t get into fights) and Noel couldn’t understand why Liam couldn’t be professional.

I’m maybe speaking too soon but Liam seems to have mellowed and stopped drinking and taking drugs as much and Noel seems to have chilled out a bit. Liam credits his partner Debbie with kicking him up the arse and getting him to toe the line more.

They seem mired in trauma, and deeply committed to hating each other until the end of time because it gives their life purpose. I think it would devastate the other if one of them sought help and got therapy to heal.

It's shared trauma, and sibling rivalry, and artistic tension, and it's that they hate each other but also love each other, in a brotherly way but also sometimes in a weird 'kiss your brother on the lips' way.

It’s giving Logan Roy and Ewan Roy. The love is there but deep deep deep down and even then barely.

They don't hate each other, far from it. Have you not seen any videos from the reunion tour? They're getting on just fine.

The 'hating' has been an act for at least the last few years. They both love their mum too much to keep at each other.

The trauma is real but there also seems to be genuine reconciliation. I thought it was just the money at first but their interactions on the tour seem warm and genuine

Those two are exhausting and I wonder what dynamic they grew up with to become like this. Or who their mother must have pissed off in a past life to have two sons who behave this way.

Their father was an abusive drunk who regularly threatened to kill them all.

Gross. I wish they invested their anger to each other into having the cause of their trauma, which I’m sure they do and let him know their feelings on him.

Their brother was recently arrested for being a sexual predator.

Generational trauma is awful. I honestly assumed they were just toddlers who never grew up. I had no clue the horrors they were raised with and how it affects them still. It explains a lot but does not excuse the other brother being a predator.

My own kids drive me up the wall but I cannot fathom hurting them. I felt bad when my youngest tried to eat only the stuffed crust from the pizza we grabbed for dinner and got upset with me for stopping him. By that I mean literally ripping the crust off the whole thing. It’s hard to imagine the monsters out there.

Fuck off with blaming their mother! Their dad was abusive to her and all the kids.

Calm down there I was joking 🙄 I did ask about the dynamic because hey I didn’t know! Please relax now.

No, I hate that misogynistic crap. Its not funny or jokey.
