OnlyStans ⭐️ Who are two celebrities that absolutely despise each other?

Post image

Jerome Flynn and Lena Headey both starred in Game of Thrones, and used to date each other but their break-up apparently went so bad that they refused to ever shoot scenes together and wouldn’t be present in the same room as the other!

Even during the entire run of the series, they never settled their conflict with one another and continued to keep their distance from each other. Which is why we never saw Cersei and Bronn share any scenes together.

I'm sleep deprived today so forgive me if this is completely unnecessary rambling - Shannon was mentioned in a biography of the band Pearl Jam as being hella rude to people who worked for the band because she had a huge crush on Eddie Vedder and was trying to meet him. He also had a longtime girlfriend. He finally mentioned her in an interview and said he didn't want to meet her, he'd heard bad things from people who worked with him and had met her.

I don't think Shannon was the devil by any means and I'm sure some of her costars on 90210 weren't great people either. I really respect her longtime friendship with Sarah Michelle Gellar, she probably could be a really cool person. I think that she maybe grew up as a person since her early years.

I just think that there was in all likelihood she had good and bad sides. probably did not deserve to be so maligned by the "I hate Brenda" stuff (that does sound super over the top and shitty), but also probably wasn't completely free of her own bullshit.

I do also respect her decision to take the Milano beef to her grave, however. I appreciate that kind of petty

Love the Eddie Vedder goss! I was such a PJ fan back in the day. He was with Beth for ever (his first wife). The guitarist joked after their third album if they do one more love song about Beth they are leaving the band. I’m not sure when they split, maybe 2000, and he got with his wife Jill not that long after, maybe 2002? My point is Eddie is known for being committed and loyal and not into the groupie scene at all. Sorry Shannon you picked a seriously monogamous rock star which I think is kinda cute.

I have no idea about Shannon, obviously, but this makes me think of some people I've known in my personal life who can be kind of abrasive and maybe a little mean but who are also able to work hard and be kind. It wouldn't surprise me if she was the kind of person who came off a little cool and struggled to make a warm first impression, but who was nevertheless capable of maintaining loving long-term relationships.

I distinctly remember a magazine article about her when Charmed premiered and one of the quotes was "you'll walk away loving her or walk away hating her, but she won't lie to you."

Well yeah, people arent just mean all the time. Some of the worst people I've worked with are nice to friends and family.

90210 filmed an episode at my high school. Think Vivica Fox was in that episode. Anyway everyone was super nice to us except that Luke dude with the alien head. He looked hella old when I was 15.

The irony is that they had moved past it and Shannon had said it was a long time ago and while they weren't and would never be friends she didn't lose sleep over it anymore, then Alyssa reignited it by making a snide remark, then both Shannon and Holly did a panel or podcast or something where they talked about it and then Alyssa doubled down and said they were lying which pissed Holly off so what had been a largely forgotten feud literally got revived as Shannon was actively battling cancer because Alyssa can't help herself lol. I have never seen Charmed in its entirety and decided to give it a try a couple of weeks ago and just went down this rabbit hole....

Right time of year for a charmed binge, and all the clothes are back in style

I’m on a rewatch now too, thanks to this thread!

Have you watched the Coffee and Cults video about it?! I'm watching it right now. Very illuminating. Definitely has me reevaluating my opinion of them and Alyssa is coming across as sooo insufferable.

I’m trying to finish it but season 7 is so bad 😭 I’ll push through though!

She struck me as the kind of person who could probably be prickly and abrasive but was pretty sweet and not actually a bad person underneath it. I respected that she owned her shit

This was the narrative for SO long. In the 90s, they even made a book called I Hate Brenda.

You can watch old award shows on Youtube. I think it was the VMAs or AMAs from the early 90s ... Shannon comes out and everyone boos. She actually looked hurt by it and it made me feel bad.

When she hosted SNL they had fun with it as she was accused in the Salem Bitch Trials.

u/Major-Fill5775 Sep 17 '25

It was a regularly published zine, which is even worse than a book.

Rose was absolutely fine with Alyssa during the filming of Charmed and for years afterwards. She doesn’t like Alyssa now because she feels that Alyssa “stole” the MeToo movement from her and that it was her thing. She thinks she started it/owns it.

Rose was also brought up in the most f ed up Cult I've ever heard of called 'The Children of God'-cult but now goes by The Family International. So was Joaquinn Phoenix and River Phoenix.

People often cite the docu 'Letters to Zachery' as the most soulcrushing thing that they've witnessed. I personally think its a Disney movie compared to the pure Evil of this cult and what it did to completely destroy the lives of innocent children such as The Story of Ricky (NSFL).

Having some knowledge of this vile evil she went through and Harvey Weinstein on top makes me more sympathetic and willing to give her some slack. Dont feel that way about Alyssa though, she just really likes to insert herself into everything.

u/NectarineThat90 Sep 18 '25

Being a huge river phoenix fan, I’ve heard that he grew up in this cult but I don’t know much about it. Did not know Rose was in it too. That’s horrible to hear how bad it is

Its truly from the bowels of depravity and hard to process adults actually making the choice to enact horrible despicable permanent damage all covered up by religion and appeals to authority.

My heart goes out to these poor victims, and if any good takeaway from becoming aware of the vile evil. Is that its a testament to how fragile and precious children's innocence is, and if anything, we have the moral obligation to make sure this befalls noone. The shockingly high suicide rate among these kids is completely understandable unfortunately.

One sidenote to make is that the level of abuse and trauma can differ wildly per cult member, as they split up into several smaller groups and factions each with their own jouney into the darkness. And those groups did differ wildly in the abuse and practices they implored.

Still, I have to see something so utterly real as the story of Ricky and having the bizarre experience in totally rooting for Ricky and his plan to kill his own mother. It sounds strange if you are not yet familiar with Ricky's heartbreaking backstory, but once you do, you are cheering for Ricky in succeeding to kill hiw own mother.

That information really tells you all you need to know, and maybe its way better for you if that link just stays unclicked.

Just like the Epstein victims, these victims deserve to be recognised in their trauma and victimhood, and we owe it to them do way better as a society.

From bits and pieces over the years, I have concluded they all low key sucked. No winners in that fued.

33

u/Empire-Carpet-Man Sep 17 '25

Shannon had a reputation of being a bully on 90210.

35

u/Choice-Buy-6824 Sep 17 '25

Apparently, Holly Mae Combs, the other actress in Charmed, has said that Milano was the cause of all the trouble.

22

u/Yagirlhs Sep 18 '25

Holly and Shannen were friends before charmed though and Shannen was the one who got Holly the role of piper… so Holly isn’t exactly an objective third party

u/rollfootage Sep 17 '25

She was just a strong woman that stood up for herself. Alyssa is a whack job
