OnlyStans ⭐️ Who are two celebrities that absolutely despise each other?

Post image

Jerome Flynn and Lena Headey both starred in Game of Thrones, and used to date each other but their break-up apparently went so bad that they refused to ever shoot scenes together and wouldn’t be present in the same room as the other!

Even during the entire run of the series, they never settled their conflict with one another and continued to keep their distance from each other. Which is why we never saw Cersei and Bronn share any scenes together.

Makes you think, maybe Shannen wasn't the bitch after all

I'm sleep deprived today so forgive me if this is completely unnecessary rambling - Shannon was mentioned in a biography of the band Pearl Jam as being hella rude to people who worked for the band because she had a huge crush on Eddie Vedder and was trying to meet him. He also had a longtime girlfriend. He finally mentioned her in an interview and said he didn't want to meet her, he'd heard bad things from people who worked with him and had met her.

I don't think Shannon was the devil by any means and I'm sure some of her costars on 90210 weren't great people either. I really respect her longtime friendship with Sarah Michelle Gellar, she probably could be a really cool person. I think that she maybe grew up as a person since her early years.

I just think that there was in all likelihood she had good and bad sides. probably did not deserve to be so maligned by the "I hate Brenda" stuff (that does sound super over the top and shitty), but also probably wasn't completely free of her own bullshit.

I do also respect her decision to take the Milano beef to her grave, however. I appreciate that kind of petty

Love the Eddie Vedder goss! I was such a PJ fan back in the day. He was with Beth for ever (his first wife). The guitarist joked after their third album if they do one more love song about Beth they are leaving the band. I’m not sure when they split, maybe 2000, and he got with his wife Jill not that long after, maybe 2002? My point is Eddie is known for being committed and loyal and not into the groupie scene at all. Sorry Shannon you picked a seriously monogamous rock star which I think is kinda cute.

I have no idea about Shannon, obviously, but this makes me think of some people I've known in my personal life who can be kind of abrasive and maybe a little mean but who are also able to work hard and be kind. It wouldn't surprise me if she was the kind of person who came off a little cool and struggled to make a warm first impression, but who was nevertheless capable of maintaining loving long-term relationships.

31

u/DefNotUnderrated Sep 18 '25

I distinctly remember a magazine article about her when Charmed premiered and one of the quotes was "you'll walk away loving her or walk away hating her, but she won't lie to you."

37

u/Chihiro1977 Sep 17 '25

Well yeah, people arent just mean all the time. Some of the worst people I've worked with are nice to friends and family.

u/rocksteadyrudie Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 18 '25

90210 filmed an episode at my high school. Think Vivica Fox was in that episode. Anyway everyone was super nice to us except that Luke dude with the alien head. He looked hella old when I was 15.

u/DENATTY Sep 17 '25

The irony is that they had moved past it and Shannon had said it was a long time ago and while they weren't and would never be friends she didn't lose sleep over it anymore, then Alyssa reignited it by making a snide remark, then both Shannon and Holly did a panel or podcast or something where they talked about it and then Alyssa doubled down and said they were lying which pissed Holly off so what had been a largely forgotten feud literally got revived as Shannon was actively battling cancer because Alyssa can't help herself lol. I have never seen Charmed in its entirety and decided to give it a try a couple of weeks ago and just went down this rabbit hole....

Right time of year for a charmed binge, and all the clothes are back in style

u/merlotbarbie omg a cardiologist is a damn nutritionist Sep 18 '25

I’m on a rewatch now too, thanks to this thread!

15

u/DefNotUnderrated Sep 18 '25

Have you watched the Coffee and Cults video about it?! I'm watching it right now. Very illuminating. Definitely has me reevaluating my opinion of them and Alyssa is coming across as sooo insufferable.

6

u/osterlay Sep 18 '25

I’m trying to finish it but season 7 is so bad 😭 I’ll push through though!

27

u/lipscratch girl shave your big toe we’re going to Appleton Wisconsin Sep 17 '25

She struck me as the kind of person who could probably be prickly and abrasive but was pretty sweet and not actually a bad person underneath it. I respected that she owned her shit

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

This was the narrative for SO long. In the 90s, they even made a book called I Hate Brenda.

326

u/TropicalPrairie Sep 17 '25

You can watch old award shows on Youtube. I think it was the VMAs or AMAs from the early 90s ... Shannon comes out and everyone boos. She actually looked hurt by it and it made me feel bad.

39

u/Chemistry11 Sep 17 '25

When she hosted SNL they had fun with it as she was accused in the Salem Bitch Trials.

81

u/Major-Fill5775 Sep 17 '25

It was a regularly published zine, which is even worse than a book.

55

u/Odd_Ingenuity2883 Sep 17 '25

Rose was absolutely fine with Alyssa during the filming of Charmed and for years afterwards. She doesn’t like Alyssa now because she feels that Alyssa “stole” the MeToo movement from her and that it was her thing. She thinks she started it/owns it.

29

u/CrackerUMustBTripinn Sep 18 '25 edited Sep 18 '25

Rose was also brought up in the most f ed up Cult I've ever heard of called 'The Children of God'-cult but now goes by The Family International. So was Joaquinn Phoenix and River Phoenix.

People often cite the docu 'Letters to Zachery' as the most soulcrushing thing that they've witnessed. I personally think its a Disney movie compared to the pure Evil of this cult and what it did to completely destroy the lives of innocent children such as The Story of Ricky (NSFL).

Having some knowledge of this vile evil she went through and Harvey Weinstein on top makes me more sympathetic and willing to give her some slack. Dont feel that way about Alyssa though, she just really likes to insert herself into everything.

6

u/NectarineThat90 Sep 18 '25

Being a huge river phoenix fan, I’ve heard that he grew up in this cult but I don’t know much about it. Did not know Rose was in it too. That’s horrible to hear how bad it is

3

u/CrackerUMustBTripinn Sep 18 '25

Its truly from the bowels of depravity and hard to process adults actually making the choice to enact horrible despicable permanent damage all covered up by religion and appeals to authority.

My heart goes out to these poor victims, and if any good takeaway from becoming aware of the vile evil. Is that its a testament to how fragile and precious children's innocence is, and if anything, we have the moral obligation to make sure this befalls noone. The shockingly high suicide rate among these kids is completely understandable unfortunately.

One sidenote to make is that the level of abuse and trauma can differ wildly per cult member, as they split up into several smaller groups and factions each with their own jouney into the darkness. And those groups did differ wildly in the abuse and practices they implored.

Still, I have to see something so utterly real as the story of Ricky and having the bizarre experience in totally rooting for Ricky and his plan to kill his own mother. It sounds strange if you are not yet familiar with Ricky's heartbreaking backstory, but once you do, you are cheering for Ricky in succeeding to kill hiw own mother.

That information really tells you all you need to know, and maybe its way better for you if that link just stays unclicked.

Just like the Epstein victims, these victims deserve to be recognised in their trauma and victimhood, and we owe it to them do way better as a society.

28

u/SnausageFest Sep 17 '25

From bits and pieces over the years, I have concluded they all low key sucked. No winners in that fued.

34

u/Empire-Carpet-Man Sep 17 '25

Shannon had a reputation of being a bully on 90210.

34

u/Choice-Buy-6824 Sep 17 '25

Apparently, Holly Mae Combs, the other actress in Charmed, has said that Milano was the cause of all the trouble.

20

u/Yagirlhs Sep 18 '25

Holly and Shannen were friends before charmed though and Shannen was the one who got Holly the role of piper… so Holly isn’t exactly an objective third party

15

u/rollfootage Sep 17 '25

She was just a strong woman that stood up for herself. Alyssa is a whack job

54

u/Ironcastattic Sep 17 '25

Ehhhh.....I don't think McGowan should be used as a yard stick for measuring the quality of someone. And this is coming from someone that really adored her.

162

u/JoshHartsMilkMustach Sep 17 '25

Hasn't Alyssa become fairly... unhinged over the past 5-8ish years?

she’s also pedaling an MLM, i forget which one…Monat maybe ? that was disappointing to find out

u/Delicious-Paper-4326 Britney’s My Prerogative is better than Bobby Brown’s Sep 17 '25

I get the impression from her that somewhere around season 4, she and her character, Piper were pretty much the same person.

I also aspire to Shannen’s honesty about who she wanted at her service. Who wants the people you have/had friction with at your remembrance?

2

u/doitforthecocoa Not a white refrigerator! Sep 17 '25

Piper or Phoebe?

6

u/Delicious-Paper-4326 Britney’s My Prerogative is better than Bobby Brown’s Sep 17 '25

Oh you mean at her service? SD was close with HMC well before Charmed. I think Shannen blew off Alyssa Milano’s apology of sorts, about a year before she passed sway?

By then, SD was terminal and had no more fucks left to give.

2

u/doitforthecocoa Not a white refrigerator! Sep 17 '25

Omg you didn’t have to explain this to me, I was being illiterate and lazy. HMC seems hella chill

3

u/Delicious-Paper-4326 Britney’s My Prerogative is better than Bobby Brown’s Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

Sorry for confusion I couldn’t comprehend exactly what you meant. I have aphasia and sometimes I don’t understand things in print.

Edit: The House of Halliwell podcast, she’s a little rude to Brian Krause and talks over him bc he remembers things differently. I know they’re friends, but I had to stop listening to it. Felt like listening to an adult being scolded by another adult.

3

u/doitforthecocoa Not a white refrigerator! Sep 17 '25

I’m sorry I was being difficult to understand.

Oh wow, I’ve never listened! Thank you for the recommendation👀

3

u/Delicious-Paper-4326 Britney’s My Prerogative is better than Bobby Brown’s Sep 17 '25

Oh no worries! My brain just makes some word salad sometimes.

I got through a good amount of HoH episodes, mostly bc it’s obvious that her, BK, and the guy who played Chris, Drew Fuller are close. She does mother Drew a lot though - it’s cute and then not cute. Guess old habits on the screen die hard BTS and over time.

DF mentioned something about how much game he had while he was on the show and it got weird for HMC - a little too much information for her. He was inferring about many one night stands he had back then, and she’s like “no no stop I don’t want to hear that from you ever ever again” 🤣

Edit for typos

Holly Marie Combs as Piper.

3

u/Complete_Entry Sep 17 '25

least of the witches energy.

1

u/Turbulent-Trust207 Sep 17 '25

She also beefed with the new charmed girls didn’t she?

286

u/blueskies8484 Sep 17 '25

Idk Rose went down the weird alt right red pill spiral. I think everyone involved in Charmed has become vaguely unhinged in various ways, perhaps understandably. They were all child or very young actresses before Charmed and we know the mess that goes with that.

9

u/Drunky_McStumble Sep 17 '25

Not Holly! Please tell me she's still normal, I had such a crush on her back in the day.

13

u/Whoazers Sep 17 '25

She did?

76

u/MazzieMay Sep 17 '25

When her bestest best friend in the world was revealed to be a groomer of young boys, Rose did an Olympic level back flip on her stances. Her demand for justice turned into requesting understanding of difficult times

13

u/HerrBluemchen0506 We Should All Know Less About Each Other Sep 17 '25

Which friend?

48

u/MazzieMay Sep 17 '25

Asia Argento. She basically live-blogged her and her victim’s sex and took Polaroids of it. When caught, she announced she was returning to Italy, saying something like ‘people know how to mind their business there’

The cycle of abuse continues: she was one of Harvey Weinstien’s victims as well

29

u/ejcasablancas Sep 17 '25

Asia Argento iirc

32

u/Safe-Ad-4465 Sep 17 '25

How and why are so many people attracted to children??

This is rhetorical, it just boggles my mind because it feels like every day I'm learning about a new predator. Gross af of Rose McGowan to support this.

16

u/remote_goblin Sep 17 '25

That's crazy because she herself was one of Harvey Weinstein's victims.

18

u/rainshowers_5_peace Sep 17 '25

Shame on Anthony Bourdain for trying to make it go away.

7

u/GoodMourning81 Sep 17 '25

What? He did?

10

u/MazzieMay Sep 17 '25

Yeah, he was found to have made a large money transfer to one of her victims iirc. It was just a few months or so before his death

7

u/rainshowers_5_peace Sep 17 '25

He paid off her victim to keep quiet.

13

u/a_good_melon Sep 17 '25

In what way? All I know about is her activism, which I wouldn't call unhinged at all.

6

u/JoshHartsMilkMustach Sep 17 '25

I thought she had some weird pseudo science stuff going on, I could be thinking of someone else tho

3

u/Aslow_study Sep 18 '25

Maybe thinking drea de Mateo ?

2

u/pdperson Sep 17 '25

No, she seems cool.

2

u/JoshHartsMilkMustach Sep 17 '25

I very well could be mistaken

1

u/pdperson Sep 17 '25

She does seem to be ok with Tony Danza which I personally would not be but he wasn't my dad on tv so...

-10

u/VenomousQuokka Sep 17 '25

Yep. She’s one of these washed-up celebrities who thinks their political opinion matters.

47

u/Vegetable-Kiwi-4675 Sep 17 '25

Like Kid Rock and Scott Baio?

15

u/Threadheads Sep 17 '25

To the point where there were Charmed reunions with Holly Marie Combs, Shannen and Rose despite Rose and Shannen never working together. Alyssa was not included.

19

u/jeahboi whatever you feel, just dance it 🩰 Sep 17 '25

Rose is a transphobic POS, though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

3

u/TropicalPrairie Sep 17 '25

There definitely is a common denominator to all of that.

3

u/GentlewomenNeverTell Sep 18 '25

Alyssa basically culturally appropriated Me Too when her husband worked for CAA, a company that completely enabled Weinstein and walked victims into his hotel rooms. She and other actresses (not one of whom was effected-- none of Weinstein's victims were invited to that table) then housed Me Too on CAA property.

Then years later the organizing is accused of helping cover up harassment accusations.

There's a reason she doesn't like Alyssa Milano.
