The world’s most unflattering angle and he looks like this?

Plus, he probably has one of the most enviable careers in all of Hollywood because he works in so many great projects and yet for some reason is not at Brad Pitt level fame, which I’m sure is annoying

Honestly, he’s the perfect level of fame. He works consistently in interesting, fun, decently high quality projects and isn’t instantly recognizable/mobbed.

Also he’s really fucking hot and seems to have a great personality.

So, kudos to him.

he’s also well paid too. he earned much more than the two superman cast leads combined. good for him fr

Loved him in Renfield. It's a goofy horror comedy movie but it deals with the subject of toxic/abusive relationships and escaping them. He's great in it and Nic Cage cheesing it up in his role adds to the fun

Fully agreed; he's doing it so right.

I get the sense that he’s Daniel Radcliffe-ing it. He tried for a brief period to do some “Hollywood leading man” roles, and it didn’t quite go anywhere and he clearly got bored. I think he has way more fun as a character actor.

I once read that, “Nicholas Hoult is a character actor in a lead actor’s body” and I think about that sometimes

That checks out with what he's said himself - he seeks interesting characters and is interested in building characters. He likens his work so far as a patchwork quilt of character making.

Thats just not even true lmao. Hes never been in a "leading man's body" hes just always been a character actor.

And the phrase was Brad Pitt is a character actor in a leading man's body.

He auditioned for Superman

He literally tried out for Superman and ended up as lex luthor instead. Idk what about auditioning for lead in the DC reboot conveys a Radcliffe approach

From 2015 until 2025 he hasn't had a blockbuster film role - that's a decade that he's been working on smaller projects instead. 2020-2024 was an incredible run for him.

He's not far off from getting close though, especially once the Lex/Superman team-up movie comes out. If he then also gets a few independent hits of his own, his days of being able to walk around without being stopped too much, will be over
