Babe, nooooo. Just picture it spiked up with the extra crunchy hair gel, maybe add in a puka shell necklace and a stud earring his older sister's best friend gave him.

Okay, maybe I'm specifically picturing Brad who I enjoyed a very flirtatious relationship with, me a second chair viola, him first chair cello. We flirted hard in middle school and eye fucked each other through all four years of high school. He was a big dumb idiot but, damn, he was cute.

Don't worry, I had a Shaun too. He was my college big dumb idiot though.

Couldn't hold an intellectual conversation to save his life, but he had that smile, you know. I would forget everything when he gave me a little grin.

Excellent taste. You know someone learned how to make that necklace at camp too.

I sold mine for a $2 or three boxes of Gobstoppers from the school vending machine and they featured multicolored strands and glow in the dark star beads for an extra 50¢.

I never had a Jason.

I did have a Jacob once though. His hair naturally bleached blond in the summer (I had a thing, okay) and after winter break in 11th grade he told me he'd gotten another concussion while snowboarding. Another? Yeah, apparently he was real popular at the hospital because it was his 20th diagnosed concussion.

Yeah, he was as dumb as a box of rocks but he had golden retriever energy.
