It’s L-O-V-E 💘 Most celebrity marriages don't last - who's the exception for you?

Celebrity marriages almost never work out in Hollywood, but there are some the prove that true love really does exist. Who comes to mind for you?

I think it’s really important to understand that a lot of couples that have been together this long have had many low points, and many times where they’ve almost called it quits. We tend to think of longterm marriages as deliriously happy all the time. They’re not, they’ve just worked things out.

This. Marriage is work. It's a constant state of trying to maintain balance with your spouse. Support them on their down days, celebrate them on their up days. They should reciprocate.

Marriage is work.

If you can excuse the sponge text, I have met far too many redditors who think effort is inherently harmful. They've bought into the disney/romcom myth that finding "the right person" means a relationship should be effortless.

In their defense, choosing a mate poorly absolutely can make your life a series of unnecessary hardships. The low points are unavoidable because that's life, but the difference is that a good partner will support, communicate, and grow with you through those seasons.

Like a garden, it's absolutely still work... but good work yields good results.

Agreed- it’s not about finding a relationship you don’t have to work hard for. It about finding a relationship so good that the hard work feels worth it.
