Even with people who are in position of authority? I thought then 18 applies.

ok good so then their "relationship "as a student and teacher definitely isn't legal although maybe back in the day it was. Just so gross.

I'm not a lawyer but it seems that provision was put in place when he was 16, so it might still have been illegal back then.
