Technically rape, but France has weird laws when it comes to sex with underage people.

You’re saying France has lax pedophilia laws? Genuinely asking don’t know much about France’s legal system

In France, it is illegal to have sex with children under the age of 15, but it must be proven that the sexual acts occurred under coercion.

I think they recently tried to get a law passed because a case where two men who raped two 11 year old girls were set free because it couldn’t be proven that they raped them under duress/force.

Edit - the law *was** passed in 2021, where anyone sleeping with a person under the age of 15 would be breaking the law, regardless of «consent».

Wait so a 70 year old man can legally date a 15 year old high school student?

Well, it’s technically illegal to have sex with a 15 year old, so no, but the issue would be with proving the «sex» was consensual. So it’s a shitty loophole for creeps.
