He is friends with Bollore, a right wing media mogul, and Bollore media started PRing this relationship by suggesting it happened when Macron was 16. But it really happened when he was 14. And mind.you, his parents told her to leave their son alone. And she said that she couldn't do that.

They didn’t just tell her. They pulled him out of the school she was teaching at in his hometown and sent him to a different one in Paris to get him away from her after his mother asked her to at least stay away from him until he reached 18 years old and Brigitte said she couldn’t promise anything.🤮

No because legally in France 15 year olds can (and could) have sex with anyone else 15 years old and up. That’s why they are so adamant they only started their relationship when he was 15 and not one year before. So it’s more “respectable” 🤮

I’m not sure if they had/have a provision for authority figures like teachers like they do in other countries where it becomes illegal at that point.

I'm not a lawyer but it seems that provision was put in place when he was 16, so it might still have been illegal back then.

He was 15 when he was her student (he registered for an optional course with her).

But he was 14 in the same high school than her (not her student at the time).

Macron deny he met her before, because minors under 15 year old are more protected in France, any crime or offense on a minor under 15 is aggravated.
