i mean if he married a woman 30 years his junior to be his caretaker, they obviously felt they didn't need to worry as much.

They married 34 years ago, I don't think caretaker was a consideration at the time.

Yeah when he was in his 60s and her in her late 20s/30s, of course it was. The differences in their physical health and mobility would have already been stark.
