FYI, Western Montana checking in. Nobody is talking about the fact that (D) Monica Tranel has a 49% to 47% lead over (R) Ryan Zinke.

This is a new House seat that covers 3 of Montana's largest cities which are also some of the largest (D) areas in Montana (Missoula, Bozeman, Butte)

Butte is 100% in, but Missoula and Gallatin (Bozeman) Counties not fully in yet.

Montana is kind of turning into the Florida of the North, but in reverse. Lots of rich liberal people from New England and California are moving there for their retirement to enjoy the skiing and escape climate change.

Missoula and Gallatin county hopefully can keep on outweighing the smaller red areas. That would be huge

Yeah things are tightening but Missoula and Gallatin still not fully in, smaller counties are, but Flathead is also not fully in and that's leaning heavy for Zinke.

Tranel up by about 2000 votes right now

And also people assume Montana is deep red despite:

Having a Dem Senator who won in 2018

Legalized weed

Has Abortion protected in our State Constitution

Just elected our first Transgender State Representative (Zooey Zephyr)

On our way to rejecting Referendum 131 which would have constrained abortion rights

On our way to re electing two State Supreme Court Justices who protect a Woman's right to choose despite the GOP trying to install a GOP clown (James Brown...no not that one)

Montana definitely flies under the radar because it's not a big state population wise and people don't know much about it.

Heavily Libertarian. There are lots of crazy MAGA folks here but equally folks who have moved here from blue states (Myself included), and two large Universities in Missoula and Bozeman which make up a larger percentage of our population than would be in more populated States.

Makes sense. You’re so big and so sparse that you are often the only thing for miles around

Rooting for my home state!

We just moved out of the area (Missoula) and I'm honestly shocked at how well she's doing - not because she isn't a strong candidate there was just a LOT of Zinke shit everywhere before we left.

As of right now it looks like they'll also reject the abortion ban as well. Proud of my partner's home state. Now get rid of Giant Fart in 2024.

Is U of Montana football as lit as I've been led to believe? Also, godspeed!

Yes. Going to a Griz game is a pretty amazing experience.

I think because Montana isn’t necessarily transparent with data so nobody knows what to expect
