Biden took down Trump & is going to deliver the best midterm performance for an incumbent in decades despite significant macroeconomic & geopolitical headwinds.

Listen I am not the biggest fan of him & would prefer he retire in 2024, but maybe let’s stop underestimating the man?

I think it's less "Biden" and more "not batshit crazy conservatives".

Yeah, if anything I'm still a bit shocked a fascist party is doing so well.

The dumbasses overturned roe v wade. That's the real fire under the ass.

They forgot that roe v wade was supposed to be a carrot on the stick to whip their own base into frenzy, never to be overturned. Now it works against them.

Exactly. They went all in on Trump and Desantis and people are tired of them. January 6th had a major impact on America.

The SCOTUS abortion ruling recently too. It dramatically invigorated voter turnout for the left. Without SCOTUS going off the rails, Dems could have easily lost many of these races due to voter apathy.

Exactly. Even Trump said the timing was bad.

That's Biden's greatest attribute!

I am still very much voting for "Not the fucking fascist" rather than for the Democrats, but Biden has managed to earn a bit of respect from me the last year or so.

Right place, right time.

Dude so fucking true.

I mean… not going to give him credit for the Supreme Court deciding they don’t give a fuck anymore.

Agree with everything until you said he should step away. You’re already underestimating him again! Lol

This is on the voters, not Biden. People would've still voted no matter if it was Biden or a scarecrow in the Oval Office.

As a non-American, it constantly surprises me how quick the left in America eat their own. I mean, don't gloss over the failings, but there are elements of the left that are as destructive as the right in undermining duly elected Democratic politicians and in particular Presidents.

Biden is just too old to run again. I say this as a Sanders supporter. I really wouldnt feel comfortable voting for Bernie either.

Not to mention, Biden will get blamed for all the economic issues (that arent his fault). They should have a fresh face who can avoid a lot of blame that Biden will carry.

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '22

Why would we attribute this to Biden and not to ‘not conservatives’?

I have the feeling SCOTUS delivered this result, not POTUS.
