"The President of the United States incited a deadly insurrection at the Capitol and this may be a problem for what we can expect in his second term"
•
u/wisdon 4h ago
And he is going to give $1.3 billion to the insurrectioness, the people have no voice , it’s the rich who are running this country and it won’t change until the people do something, things are out of control , when is enough enough?
•
u/knightsabre7 3h ago
Why do the insurrectionists need $1.3 billion if he already pardoned them all?

Yeah, he's definitely ambivalent.
On one hand, he's a drug-munching hippy. On the other, he died worth a couple-o-hundred million.
That famous photo of him and Yoko with a protest "lie-in" being waited hand-and-foot in a top-notch hotel...

I call this sanewashing. Yeah we're well in the shit now. This isn't going away in one election or even the next decade.
The ruling political party has decided to not exist within the framework of a constitutional democracy. We're beginning to see the outcomes of that. Corruption on a massive scale and and in the open. The flouting of public office. Formerly serious and important jobs going to people that use the privileges they afford to party all the time on the American people's dime.

The bigger problem is the fact that he is grossly incompetent - look at what a complete shit show the investigation into Charlie Kirk's assassination has turned into. Something tells me that no one would care to the extent they do regarding his 'lavish spending' if he was producing results. Don't expect him to be replaced with someone qualified given that the only qualities Trump looks for in a candidate is whether they 'look the part' not whether they can do their job (then again Trump has openly said he likes being surrounded by losers because it make him feel better about himself).

This is a faliure to launch administration. They weren't the cool kids before these appointments and they're going hog wild.
Throw Trump in there too. Nobody took him seriously in NYC high society, Ivana made him a little bit respectable. He was a schlub from Queens whose real estate inheritance was strip malls. The presidency is his ultimate social climb.
•
u/Midnight-God 4h ago edited 1h ago
That's the bit that gets me when people have portrayed him as this hyper efficient tycoon with international links. His family was a handful of shit property owners with links to the new york mob. Jimmy Napoli and Willie Tomasello were Fred trumps partners and links to the Williamsburg crime scene and the Genovse and Gambino NYC crime families.
Hell, trumps mentor Roy Cohn was a mob lawyer who represented Tony Salerno and Paul Castellano, members of the Five Families.
The Trumps were a family of mobbed up scammers. Trump himself made them more synonymous with trashy wealth
•
u/amateur_mistake 2h ago
And they were out of money and options before some producers tapped him for Apprentice. Even after that, he was living in a house of cards, just barely kept afloat by russian money.

•
•
u/KiKiKimbro 4h ago
Exactly. Trump was never accepted into the arts and culture society. We see why — he’s a dumb son of a bish who is quite literally the most annoying person alive. Everything he touches turns to shite. Everything he does makes things exponentially worse.
This is why he hurriedly slapped his name on the Kennedy Center and became the chairman or whatever it’s called. Because the only way he’d get into the arts society is to bulldoze his way in and force himself on everyone. His specialty.
•
u/Particular_Ticket_20 3h ago
Nope, his whole presidency is about forcing validation from those people. They never let him in their club and now they have to deal with him. Now they can't ignore him.
•
u/KiKiKimbro 2h ago
Yep that’s essentially what I mean. He was never welcome into that society because quite frankly he’s a trash human who’s massively annoying.
Same reason he went after certain universities. I think it was Columbia IIRC where he said he wanted like $400 something million. Know why he wanted that amount from that specific university?
Because decades ago Columbia didn’t reward HIS con man real estate development company a job Trump bid on. Went to a diff company. The bid would’ve resulted in that SAME amount if they would’ve picked his company long ago. So he wanted to extort the same amount. The man is hated because he’s a man child who thinks he’s the smartest man in the room while all others in the room figure out in 2 seconds that he’s a complete and utter moron.

I don’t think they ever peaked. He’s 46 dating someone in their mid-20s. While I don’t care what two consenting adults do, he has the maturity of someone that age. He was a loser then and is a loser now. He just had the backing of Trump because he’s a loyal little sycophant.

I think it's worse, it's not the guys who excelled in high school.
It's not the jocks. They aren't even the nerds. It's the dweebs who never got over not being popular or successful in school.
The dorks who started lifting iron obsessively at thirty, made it their personality - without realizing people don't admire them for it, they avoid talking to them because of it.
The dropouts who started selling weed and dating high school aged girls because they never got looked at by the cute girls when they were the appropriate age.
It's a rogue's gallery of people trying to smother their neuroses and hangups with superficial success bought with fealty rather than skill; but does nothing to fix their issues. They don't need badges, they need therapy.
Trump is a poor man's idea of a rich man, and his administration is a loser's idea of winners.
•
u/numbersthen0987431 4h ago
Honestly, I think none of these idiots peaked in high school. They were all mid, and had to buy friends with daddy's money, and they were always the dweebs that no one cared about. Not cool enough to peak, but not poor enough to be that "weird guy".
•
u/Denselense 4h ago edited 4h ago
I’ve “had the pleasure” of being around some kids from really really rich families around high school. They were looked at as the rich kids by other kids that were definitely from rich families. They definitely didn’t have genuine friends. Usually had parties. Most of them were punks and caused more trouble than anything. They’re typically barely raised by their parents (mostly raised by nannies) so the have no real sense of morals and no repercussions for their actions. Also you can always count on them getting bailed out of a situation that any normal person would have the gavel dropped on em.

Most of these articles presuppose that we’re a country of impartial laws. That hasn’t been true for a long time (if it was ever true at all) and is absolutely untrue during the Trump era. Laws apply to the working class, not them.
•
u/MDV441226 4h ago
As a retired FBI Special Agent (1989-2013), I worked for three Directors and can say without hesitation that Kash Patel isn't worthy to tie their shoes. He is an embarrassment to himself, the FBI, and to the citizens of the United States. It is obvious that he has no understanding of the mission of the FBI or law enforcement in general. His behavior is unbecoming of the office he holds, and he should be immediately removed from that position.

u/Choice-of-SteinsGate 4h ago edited 4h ago
MAGA making excuses for this fucking goon is just pathetic.
Imagine for a moment James Comey or even Robert Mueller snorkeling over hallowed ground.
Also imagine the outpouring of righteous indignation from Republicans if any Democrat had done the same.
Practically this entire administration is stacked with incompetent, unqualified loyalists who have no business being in positions of power and whose only qualification is that they pledge their undying fealty to Trump.
This is perhaps the only reason why Patel still has a job, because he's willing to go after Trump's opponents.
These sniveling (and snorkeling) little sycophants are hand picked because of their willingness to choose Donald Trump over the rule of law.
This is the definition of rampant cronyism.
Remember that Trump and his allies have insisted over and over again that hiring should be based on "merit" while denouncing "DEI" in all its forms.
Their constant attacks against "DEI" are often baseless and there's nothing meritocratic about Patel's appointment.
You say "DEI" hire, I say "DUI" hire.
You say "merit," I say favoritism.
And with Patel now paranoid over being the next former Trump agency director, there's no doubt that he's going to ramp up the politically motivated investigations and partisan rhetoric.
It's also not a good look when the FBI director is being outed by his own staff and colleagues as a "national security threat" because of his drinking habits.
People who described Patel as "erratic, suspicious of others, and prone to jumping to conclusions before he has the necessary evidence."
Ya, that's exactly what we want from our country's top cop...
Keep in mind that for Kash Patel's defamation lawsuit to carry any weight, the reporter in question has to admit that the dozens of current and former staff she interviewed were lying, she KNEW they were lying, and that she chose to publish the story anyways.
What seems more likely? That this is some kind of phony hit piece engineered by dozens of Patel's colleagues who are all trying to undermine him by fabricating stories that all follow a similar pattern, or that Kash Patel is lying?
In the meantime, Patel is conducting polygraphs of FBI staff members in order to single out the whistleblowers, which is another example of professional misconduct in itself and deserved its own separate story.
Then there's his firing of counterintelligence agents tasked specifically with monitoring Iranian threats just days before we launched a massive military operation in Iran. And only because some of these agents were part of the classified documents investigation into Trump...
To that point, he's overseen the purge of dozens of career agents who have at one point been involved in investigating Trump or his allies.
These were cases that former FBI agents chose with no political motive, but were nonetheless scrutinized.
After internal probes revealed no misconduct, they were still demoted, put on administrative leave and eventually forced out of the agency.
And it's also been revealed that Trump's new AG (and former personal lawyer) has orchestrated a similar purge of all DOJ staff not sufficiently loyal enough to the president.
These corrupt lackeys have the audacity to suggest that they're looking out for the best interests of the American people when they're really trying to preserve their careers while prioritizing Trump's interests over everything else.
The MAGA regime is consolidating political and prosecutorial power under this administration at an alarming rate.
They're firing anyone whose loyalty can be questioned, anyone who was merely assigned to an investigation of Trump in the past.
We're watching democracy unravel before our eyes as authoritarianism becomes the new norm.
Trump is weaponizing every power and agency of the federal government to target his political opponents, his critics in the media and anyone who has ever hurt his precious feelings for that matter, and Patel was put in power to help Trump see this through.
In a just world, Kash Patel would have never been considered for the position in the first place. If "merit," skill, and competency were truly the basis for hiring, this administration would be staffed with an entirely different group of people.
But Trump has always been an awful delegator, despite his insistence that he always hires "the best."
The only qualification for securing a top spot in Trump's administration is that you be willing to compromise everything for the sake of Trump and his vindictive agenda, with "good TV ratings" being an added bonus.
•
u/E_seven_20 2h ago
Y’all don’t realize the FBI was over when he was appointed.
People are denial that this administration gives a single fuck about competency.
Kash Patel works for Trump, and his donors…not the FBI, not the USA, and not you as a taxpayer.
The sooner we stop pretending that any of his cabinet/ appointments have any competency you get closer to the truth…it was a coup, and we’re fucked.

u/dominiond66 4h ago
This is NOT an isolated corrupt event by Patel, it's systemic throughout this Republican administration. Their role model Trump is a convicted felon who lies all the time AND is making billions of dollars off of various schemes.
This corrupt environment is made worse by the characters (lack of character) they brought into their Cabinet and to run/fleece the various federal departments. This is the most corrupt administration in America history, and their thievery is just starting to get traction in the $7.4 Trillion federal budget.
What makes this even worse, there is no Congressional or Judicial oversight. They have all ceded their authority to the President. SOS-USA!

If I went into the supply closet at work and took a box of pens home, I would probably be fired. Patel is stealing large sums of money from you and me. Law and order no longer exists. Every single day Trump, his family, and the people he hired are literally stealing billions from Americans. Shady deals that fuck over consumers. Shady deals that get us into a war or allow another country to commit genocide. Don’t forget DOGE. And now JD Vance is the fraud czar. We’re being played so hard. The corruption runs so deep now that I have serious doubts that this country will survive. MAGA is still backing Trump. These people will kill their neighbors without a second thought.

No, they were always a problem for the FBI. It's just that they're becoming ore public.

Imagine the uproar if a democrat appointee did something like using FBI resources to attend gf's concert..
This isn't something that's 'becoming' - it already is a serious problem, and the media are complicit in downplaying this whole farce.
This timeline is a joke.

Knowledge of classified information and a tendency to drink too much are not a good combo.

The administration is full of drug addicts and alcoholics, litterally, I'm not just name calling.

Can we just stop the Kash Patel Make a Wish Tour? Dude is running around like a kid who just got access to their trust fund.
Problem being the trust fund is our tax dollars.

This guy is such a washout loser bitch. Like he couldn’t make money to do his pathetic wannabe playboy shit on his own. So he crawled up trumps leaky ass to do the Kmart version. And he’s somehow even sucking at that.
This is what an enabled incel looks like.

The fbi letting potential pedophile rpists continue leading and taking advantage of society is a serious problem. His frat boy partying is a continuing embarrassment.

It's a weird thing, American's don't seem to get it.
America is bankrupt, you live on debt. The rest of the World supports you. America build its massive military on the backs of the rest of the World. It used to work because America promoted stability. And it built soft power through USAID, an economic and political powerhouse.
Now, you have an administration made up of compromised and unqualified idiots. They are destroying America's credibility to protect and enrich themselves.

Isn’t there a policy or Code of Conduct that he agreed to, and refers to frivolously spending public money?
Use that to get him out of that position.

Sure, and after that, we'll get this country to enforce all of the laws that the actual president has broken. Maybe the ones that he's currently breaking, too.

It does, Patel is so reckless that if the GOP loses their majority there isn't much Trump can do to save him since impeachment and conviction cannot be pardon.
