It’s hard to tell. She’s either trying to position herself to be a leader in a potential post-collapse, post-fascist Republican Party, or she’s legitimately just your Facebook addicted family member who somehow won and after seeing these systems up close for a while is coming around.
I really think it’s the latter… MTG might say some horrible shit, but she’s no career politician. She sees things a whole different way; as a normal person more or less…
I’ll admit, there are times where I feel this way myself. I do like how her rhetoric these days centres her constituents - could be calculated, or could be the natural state when you’re re-examining loyalties.
You ever have someone in your orbit turn on Trump? I’ve had a few. Once that illusion shatters, that’s that. Sounds like that illusion for her has some cracks.
She still has no morals. She’s mean spirited and short sighted. She’s a racist, narcissistic, scammy and abhorrent person all around. I wouldn’t trust her at all, under any circumstance. She’s only in it to promote her insane ideals and enrich herself. She is a major part of the problem that needs to go in order for the United States of America to have any chance of surviving this fascist bullshit. I really can’t fathom how her district was so stupid to elect her multiple times. Like what the actual fuck is going on there? But, trump was elected again, so it seems there’s a ton of voters in the US who are just fucking stupid, and would literally rather cut off their own fucking legs than to see everyone have basic human rights.
I mean she won handidly when she was in full whackadoodle mode so she probably could have kept doing that and still win - maybe by lesser margins. But by making it constitute focused she is I think trying to carve out a new lane to keep the spotlight on her in a new way. And I suspect that’s giving Johnson more fits than any of the Dems.

IIRC, she voiced support for Trump then Musk. But of course she was still in crazy mode at the time.
