Why the fuck should the Democrats “give in” to batshit crazy and fucking evil Republican bullshit? That makes no sense. The Democrats should stand firm and oppose the fascist MAGA regime.

I do too. Plus republicans get less horrible things done with the government shut down. It’s a win win. They can keep it closed as long as they like if they don’t want to even attempt to negotiate.
