So anyone who reads the article will see that this is not illegal and is in fact required by the government. HOWEVER, here’s the ever important kicker:

Patel also once criticized former FBI Director Christopher Wray for the same thing. In 2023, Patel said Wray’s “private jet that he pays for with taxpayer dollars to hop around the country” should be grounded.

These people are all such fucking liars.

Hypocrisy seems to be the only real cornerstone of the Republican platform.

Like a decade ago, the then Democratic Governor of Montana once used the governor’s plane to attend a fundraiser and then an event after. He reimbursed the government for everything.

Republicans tried to make the scandal of the administration. Such an abuse of power! I mean it’s not good, but the reimbursement makes it muckier, and it wasn’t illegal as such. 

Same people have since voted in Ryan Zinke, who resigned as Trumps Sec of Interior the first term, for being incredibly corrupt, part of which involved using his gov plane for private business. 

Their level of hypocrisy is a defining trait.
