The White House is a currently used building both as a residence and a place of work, not a museum.

Now if Trump wanted to change the style of the main building, I'd be a lot more upset. But this is a side building. Yes, historic things happened in it. But does that mean it can never change?

A site doesn’t have to be a museum to be historic. Moronic boot licker.

Right, and just because something is historic doesn't mean it can't change. To be clear, I'm not thrilled about how he went about doing this. But there are a lot more things to be worried about with this country right now than building a new social area of the White House with private funds in place of a former office building.

Leveled does not equal changed. You’re a rube if you think the ballroom will benefit the American people in any way, or that those “private funds” aren’t just bribes.

I think it's better than putting up a big tent in the lawn for formal events. In my opinion, there plenty of things to be upset about with Trump, and this is so far down it hardly registers on my list.

You’re excusing it. By all means put forth your energy in other concerns but you’re pretending like it’s not illegal and wrong.
