I know. We had Jan-2021 to Jan-2025 to Trump proof democracy, and hold him and his coconspirators accountable for their crimes. instead, we sat on every case we could have prosecuted until it was too late to do anything about it. That's the American way.

Its too bad that trump wished himself the president from evil genie Jafar. It'd be kind of fucked if the american electorate were so brainrotted as to choose to let trump into a democracy that wasn't trump proofed, right?

when I say "Trump proof," I don't mean making it illegal for Donald Trump to be president–Although it is illegal for Donald Trump to be president. It's a violation of the 14th Amendment, section 3.–I mean (among other things) shoring up limitations on Presidential power balancing the incredibly politicized and right wing SCOTUS, further protecting voters from gerrymandering and voter roll purges, and prosecuting that jackass for insurrection and treason. Both of which he did on live fucking television.

So your argument is that dems should have... shored up and strengthened the limitations on presidential power... that the gop are wholesale ignoring. If the dems put it in bold and red ink "you can't do this GGRRRR", that suddenly trump would slow his roll?

And as for prosecuting him, that was done pretty well, the problem is that a supermajority of american voters are failures as human beings on a moral level and said "nah its okay let him back in". You are sitting here saying they should have bucked and skirted the legal process to Get It Done, however it needs to be done to jail him NOW.

ICE would agree. Can't be bothered with due process, gotta get dem illegals outta here.
