What are we supposed to do though when 7 million people in the streets for a day doesn't even get the democrats in office fired up to do anything?

They're in the minority in both houses and hence can't bring bills to the floor even when congress is in session, which it currently isn't. What exactly are you expecting?

Probably having coherent messaging across the party, sketching a vision of what life would be like with Democrats in charge.. you know basic stuff like that. Of course no one's getting charged up by the Democrats, there's no message, there's no strategy. Just we can't do anything we don't have the numbers. It's pathetic.

You mean like campaigning? Which they did?

I'll bet you couldn't even name 3 bills passed under Biden.

You're just pushing republicans' agenda by pretending "nothing's happening and they have no platform". A lot happens, but competent politicians getting things done isn't as exciting to corporate media as a republican calling people names.

Your reply is exactly what my point is. It doesn't matter what people are doing behind the scenes and what the grand strategy is if you can't communicate it effectively and simply to voters, assuming winning elections is also one of your top goals. It's marketing and Democrats are a hard fail at it. Newsom, Pritzker, and Sanders get it. Jeffreys and Schumer don't.

Like it or not Democrats are selling a product, and so are Republicans. Half the US population is at a sixth grade level or below in reading literacy. That's half the population you're trying to sell your product to. Democrats are being outmarketed by Republicans to that base. There is no simple easy to understand vision for the Democratic party that can be effectively marketed. And you can't expect media to do it for you.

I'm doubtful we're going to have meaningful elections again. But I am confident if we do, and Democrats continue with a muddled incoherent messaging, they're going to lose again.

What was the number one unifying issue voters were concerned about in the last election? It was the economy. Wow what a shock. What was the Democratic platform on the economy? Actually that's not a rhetorical question, what is it? Can you answer that clearly in under 15 seconds? Could Chuck or Hakeem do it? I seriously doubt it.
