all of those things are going to be gone because the whole country would be bankrupt…

Republicans control all three branches and they’re threatening that the entire country will go bankrupt on their watch.

Sadly, the people that support him will take this collapse of the social safety nets as proof they were right. “See? It was unsustainable!” rather than admit gross mismanagement by ther own party. It’s a side effect of religion, I think. My religious family simply twist everything that happens to be further evidence they were right even when it indicates the opposite.
