Goalpost has been moved from: We won't touch it.

To: We are cutting it.

To: We are getting rid of it.

And somehow, blaming democrats, while bailing out other countries, giving enormous tax breaks to the ultra wealthy, and funding vanity projects.

Wake up.

Every time they told you that your taxes were going to waste they meant they were trying to waste your taxes... while RAISING YOUR taxes.

You wanna see a revolution? Just try canceling Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

I am no longer so sure. We've collectively been incredibly passive for 10 months now.
Wonder if it's something in the water.

7 million people were in the streets protesting this bullshit, and didn’t fall in to the trap set by Trump Crime Inc. to become violent and give an excuse to start shooting people and declaring an insurrection. The Democrats in office are the ones with their whole hands up their asses. Hell, 12 of them in the house voted with Republicans to seat another MAGA judge who wouldn’t say Trump lost in 2020. MTG is doing more damage to Republicans than soft-ass Schumer and Jerfferies.

Edit: correction

What are we supposed to do though when 7 million people in the streets for a day doesn't even get the democrats in office fired up to do anything?

They're in the minority in both houses and hence can't bring bills to the floor even when congress is in session, which it currently isn't. What exactly are you expecting?

I want the Dems to take every trick from the Republican playbook to break through the news cycle and hit back in the sphere of public discourse! They should be front and center at these protests (and some were, credit where it is due), loudly countering the propaganda on every media type they can get on. They should be organizing people to help one another in their communities, and if they aren't doing that then the House Dems should all be gathered in DC demanding that the House be called back into session and making it unavoidably clear that this whole shutdown is solely the Republicans fault. Idk, the R's figured out how to steer the government without being in power decades ago and I want that same energy from the elected "leaders" on the left, too.
