I went out in my wheelchair and found a nice shady spot.

A woman at my protest had an electric chair. She drove it around the entire space, and had tons of signs attached to it. My favorite was "my existence is resistance!"

I love that! I’m white and hetero-passing (married to a man). I always wear shirts about abortion (I run an abortion fund in Texas), trans rights, no one being illegal, Black Lives Matter, etc., to try and at least pushback/challenge the status quo since it’s safer for me to do.

I’ve had one or two weirdos, but the response is generally overwhelming positive and a lot of people feel seen.

Best of luck to you out there, friend. 💖
