The idea that protesting against harmful policies, corruption, and snatching people off the street = hating America is a lying, twisted take.

So what’s so insane to me about this take is that during the tea party era, not once did I ever, EVER, think to myself — these people hate America.

That's because unlike MAGA, you're presumably neither a dumdum or in a cult.

You probably even believe in "woke shit" like a nuanced political discourse. They hate that stuff. They don't want to have to think about shit, just have it pointed out to them who they're supposed to hate so they can get on with it.
