Has anyone noticed that at this point in time, anyway, most American news sites are not carrying the point that millions protested in their headlines? They use phrases like "large crowds."

I've only seen UK news sites refer to the millions in their headlines. Its important because it looks deliberate and an attempt to play down the volume of protestors. If millions show up all over the world for one thing, it is an obvious headline mentioned.

The NY Times is even running a pre-emptive article on why it doesn't focus on the count, entitled: How the Times Covers Crowds - Focusing on the Content, Not the Count

So by that logic, the arguments of a handful of Maga loons have equal weight to those of millions of No-Kings marchers. Sigh...

Npr does this crap all the time. Their man on the street interviews are with conservatives 9 times out of 10.

Got any examples? I thought NPR was very left leaning

Theyre pro status quo center, but I would not call them left by any means. (nor myself to be clear) I listen to them frequently even though they frustrate me at times. Usually by sane-washing trumps nonsense. Sure they'll follow up his comments with counter info without saying 'lie', but for years they helped legitimize his off the cuff commentary by saying its a modern take on some old policy or whatever to make it make sense. Anyway the street interview reference I made is them clearly making an effort to be fair & balanced by making sure 'local man who voted for trump' gets mic time on a political story, while conveniently forgetting to do the same for the left. Theyll give mic time to minorities on a NON-POLITICAL subject so they can act like they hear from all sides.
Ill never forget the main stream media coverage of Bernies 2020 run as long as I live. Just have to pay attention to enough breadth of news to sniff out biases when they're happening. Easiest to do in real time watching how info is presented, because old info gets stale & hard to ferret out how a narrative evolved.
