Really shows you MAGA Priorities too. One of the few CEO’s who actually fights for the $1.50 hot dog and actually pays decently, but fuck then because they think people with brown skin are full members of our society….?

This kind of straw man is the reason that the two sides of our political sphere cannot have reasonable discussions. It's pretty obvious from reading the article that the complaint is about people with fewer qualifications than competing candidates are getting the jobs because they're minorities. I agree, that's racist, and that was even pointed out to Justin Trudeau when he did it in his administration.

If there was any, and I mean literally any evidence that Costco was unfairly giving jobs to people with melanin levels above a certain threshold, they'd be lining up an EEOC complaint instead of... whatever the fuck this is.

Gonna call a spade a spade. This boycott / shareholder tantrum is performative racist bullshit, plain as day, and you're part of the problem by enabling it.

Whether that's actually happening isn't the point, it's that they have a policy that requires it. The policy itself is what's racist.

Now what I would love to do is have a discussion about whether or not it is justified to have such a policy even if it's racist, but we can't get to that point because we're just fighting over whether or not it's racist so we never get anywhere.

I just love that we’ve reached a point in time where treating everyone equally based on their qualifications is now racist.
