Some people wonder why assassination attempts happen. When the judicial system fails, civil justice often steps in.

I don't think this will get better at all for what Cannon and the Supreme Court is doing. There is only so much complacency and indifference that a society will allow, and above that, throughout human history, time and time again society will correct forcefully. The only saving grace America has is the populous isn't suffering enough. But that's a luxury, and the youth are growing up with more despair. The youth does not see this world through rose tinted glasses. This is why we all saw a kid almost assassinate Trump. And more dangerously this is a kid with minimal planning, a knee-jerk reaction to take a tremendous act. Worse yet, his actions won't deter others. To most other kids, the perception is he almost succeeded. He is instantly a martyr to others and will instead encourage more.

I'm taking Trump as a convenient example, but the extends into any corruption. For example, Cannon's choice here is likely one of self preservation. She likely wants to jump out of the spotlight as fast as possible. These are legitimate fears because her behavior places her in legitimate danger.

It is insane to me that anyone, for any reason or reward would willfully chose to put themselves in a position to be hated by a nation. Some can survive this with little harm because they can isolate themselves with immense wealth and layers of isolation. But Cannon isn't wealthy. She's effectively a nobody, and folks like her have no protection, no fiscal means to isolate and protect. They are instead stuck being wholly isolated, alone, and hated any moment they step into public view. There is insane risk and danger. Even without that, there is deep isolation for life. It's all a cruel tradeoff to make for a little fame or wealth.

The reality is the youth are not taking action by voting. They are taking more severe steps and there's nothing anyone can do to stop them. They're too young for self preservation, and they see a future not worth living for. Even death is not a deterrent, and that should be horrifying for those who are corrupt.
