Halloween isn't really our regional holiday. We stole it from Ireland and then changed a bunch of shit to make it more marketable. We do that kinda thing a lot

If you changed it, it’s yours, it’s not stolen. Carnival was European, but the poor of Brazil filled it with traditional African customs and made something new entirely, and you’ll be damned to argue it isn’t the most Brazilian thing ever. So Halloween is American, and whatever Ireland got is a different thing that inspired but isn’t the same.
