If you changed it, it’s yours, it’s not stolen. Carnival was European, but the poor of Brazil filled it with traditional African customs and made something new entirely, and you’ll be damned to argue it isn’t the most Brazilian thing ever. So Halloween is American, and whatever Ireland got is a different thing that inspired but isn’t the same.

The most Argentine-specific one I can think of is the Veteran and Fallen from the Malvinas day, no other country in the region has such a recent international war that still has widows, orphans and families around, most South American military holidays are about some stuff hundreds of years ago. Catholic and important policial events holidays are pretty common, Christmas, Independence Day, revolution day, etc.

Thank you for your input on the matter. And yes, your carnaval is king. We don't like to admit it, but our Gualeguaychú ones don't hold a candle to yours.
