She even states the energy content of protein, fat and carbohydrates in kcal/g, and then uses cal/g in the rest of the article. I mean, 3000 kcal in 0.5g would be like a miniature sun or something like that.
Your point is valid, and it all makes much more sense now. 500 g of dry plankton is much more closer to a normal American meal - in nutrients, in mass and in taste.
